Thank you SH
It's hard to believe how much I've achieved in such a relatively short time. My certificate folder is getting thicker by the day.
I've done my nails a lilac glitter and possibly need to take a bit more of the length off.
I crammed more beauty stuff ready to take in the morning. Will see if we've got a big holdall still for ease of getting some items down. I'll focus on just setting up beauty and can combine nail stuff when I'm back home; I'll take that on a daily basis in case I do mobile nails some evenings and will keep a few packets of lash and brow products at home for the same reason too.
- my updated business cards, banner and client mugs arrived today. I left late ordering towels, voile and other bits. Depending on space, I've a gorgeous vase which goes with my branding, I'd just want some painted sticks, those sticks with lights in or something similar.
Applied for a normal bank account which will be active tomorrow, can bank cash payments at the PO, and I've a bag of change ready. I'll note in my cash book what treatment and charge is done each time.
Downloaded free relaxing music for when the longer treatments are being done. Figured out where it was hiding on my business phone and had it playing when I dozed over lunch 🤭
I'm looking forward to having lie-ins on my beauty working days 😁
I'll let you know how it goes and there's still a lot of interest in facials!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thank you SH, Skinty and FP
Your support has been appreciated and today went very well.
Had an excited start before 4am and went back to bed a few hours later, getting up for breakfast coffee at 8. Thankfully we had the giant holdall and I packed it full. Did a few trips to move the holdall, a bag, the trolley and stool from the flat to downstairs, strapped the holdall to the trolley, tucked the bag into the crook of my elbow and carried the stool, dragged the trolley/ bag. Had to stop several times but made it to work early 😁 sat down for 10 mins as my body was on fire 😟
Spent most of the day unpacking, organising and releasing the vision I'd come up with. To give my body breaks I'd sweep, tidy, network and promote to the clients, join in chats and generally settle in. The salon was busy, however no clients were for me. Which was a good thing as I forgot to take money / change; got at least 1 tomorrow and my colleagues want to book treatments too.
I popped to the shop for a meal deal and picked up a few more herbal teas for post facial clients.
Filled bestie in on massage based courses I want to do and the one booked this month. She's looking forward to me bringing those in.
I'll work out how much I need to consistently earn per month just doing salon, taking into account deductions, expenses, planned courses and my normal outgoings so I know what I'm aiming for; TomBo has said my day job can go when I'm ready.
Got treated to kebab with those lush pickled chillies for tea. Had to rest since getting in as my feet are unhappy.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

Thank you Skinty and SH
First thing I did was put the float in my bag!
Client went really well. I was nervous for a few seconds before getting on with it. Results made another client jealous and they're booking when next in! Both don't like change so I must have made a good impression and put them at ease. Think the room looking like a beauty room is helping too.
- my new account card arrived, once I've got a decent float built up I can start banking beauty money.
Due to a mix of lugging a lot of stuff and setting up the room, two days in a row, I'm barely able to walk. Thankfully, I'm relatively comfortable on my chair.
- I've been adding things to the holdall to take on my next shift, ordered a few things and will add them as they arrive.
I've organised my tunics, need to buy some leggings as I have lost them / they're in a safe place 🤭
Emailed exam answers for the webinar Monday, just waiting to hear if I've passed / get the certificate. Got a few more webinars booked and I'm in the process of booking a hot wax course; need to book a day off.
Had roast chicken / spuds for tea.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
