Confidence is a must. If I begin to have doubts I'm at risk of making a mistake. However, I'm really enjoying myself.
I practiced threading and have started shortening my nails as they're too long; I'm taking half off and they'll still be long, but a safe threading length.
Waxing practice went well. Full strips are awkward due to trying to flex my leg and stretch the skin before ripping off. I cut some in half and it was much easier and more controlled, although slower.
- the test area I did the other week was still good.
Bee line, well, I learnt a lot especially how long is too long and what happens! Haven't attempted pits as they will need a trim first and I'll probably do quarter strips. Possibly tomorrow unless we're going out.
A productive day, even if I didn't do everything I planned 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I dropped TomBo at SIL's, nipped to A1D1 and got him after. Timing worked well as we both done what we wanted.
I've organised my spare beauty items, they're all nicely tucked away. Still need to merge my gels, pack away spares and hopefully I'll have space in the bedroom for it; gels will remain in the lounge as they collectively stink, even when the bottles have never been opened!
- for now it's under my desk, but I've got leg room.
I have been repairing a nail since before I qualified as the break was too far in. Wasn't really sufficiently over the edge but safe enough to cut off. Today I re-shaped my remaining nails, added more strength and applied a gorgeous glitter cerise. The very short nail was a let down and I decided to make one from another type of gel (a lot thicker with a different application) why not I'm qualified to. Feels the same as my natural nails and I'll gel it tomorrow.
- I'll photograph it and ask my tog mate if she wants them done.
I've found some free training courses for treatments I'm qualified in. I like seeing how others do things as the brow tint application I do on myself, is different to when taught for Def brows and I was shown a different way again when taught threading; I prefer the way it was done when learning threading.
I'll be doing a call for local models, will charge ¹/3 of my actual Def brow price. It would be great if a few friends got together so I could do one after the other.
Very pleased with how my legs turned out. I did miss a few hairs but I needed to search for them. Bee line is calmer and I'll try it again next weekend when I do my pits.- when I've done it all I'll put a call out for models, assuming I'm happy with it.

Sounds good. You are still learning loads and getting a buzz from it all. Hope you have a fab week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you SH
I've been struggling with a migraine all day, usual thing triggered it but hopefully that won't be an issue any more.
Totally getting a buzz and thirsty for as much knowledge as my little brain can handle.
Sent photos to my nail trainer who was impressed with the shape I had opted for, the colour and how well my 'false' nail worked out. I'm still managing to keep the overall thickness down with all the layers, not super thin like natural nails but thin enough that they don't look false; my one big bear with gels.
My business cards etc have been posted, the should arrive in a few days.
I practiced threading while watching TV, didn't feel a thing. I'd like a bit more experience before offering it just to feel comfortable with the finger movements as it's not fluid, unless it's because of practicing on me and it's the wrong angle.
It's a bit of a busy one as we're popping to see A&U this week. TomBo said any pamper must be short as they're both recovering from illness. My cut and lash apt is the same day, but first thing. I've got my lash lift course Sunday. Which potentially leaves a day for a model, with the patch test one evening after work.
We had steak, mash and onions for tea.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

Thank you FP
It's amazing how the passion has embraced my life and continues to grow on a daily basis.
I completed all my bargain masterclass workshops today. They explained in loads of detail how and why to do things and how to use the nail tools correctly. That's another 4 certificates to laminate. I need a few more folders for my nail related training / manuals.
As I'm actually more into the beauty side, I've ordered a few books on anatomy, massage and aromatherapy; the latter has appealed to me for years due to my own health.
A&U visit cancelled as they've had an apt pop up.
Business cards etc are due tomorrow 😊
To do list for the week:
- write draft bio for SM and insurance site
- tidy away spares (W-end)
- pop to 2nd home, glass has been replaced for me
- wax bee line, pits (W-end)
- do paper pricelist / poster and add to SM
- combine gels (Sat)
- do SM model ad, wording drafted
- lash lift course (Sun)Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thank you Skinty, "calling" is a very apt description!
Unfortunately, my day job has impacted my health and I'm off. I need to have sufficient dominant upper limb movement for training. Plenty of rest, meds on time and not doing much will hopefully have me fixed. Worst case, tens machine, limited supporting act use with non dom ambidextrous stepping up.
My business cards arrived. The logo is tiny, I'll see about increasing the size and ordering another set payday. Aside from that everything else is great. My brand pen is perfect as is my non-branded card stand.
Tomorrow I'll try and do my poster and price list as I've got my logo saved and prices worked out. There's a workshop I could do which would help me write my bio's. Worst case I do them in bed and it takes a couple of days.
- Not going to risk a set back by attempting any of my physical to do items.
Hair cut and lash apt Friday. I'll see if she mentions about renting a space and if not I'll get advertising. I have chased enough, nothing firm is in place and it's not helping with the niggling doubts.
I may have someone for definition brows. My nail trainer jumped at the chance to model and I offered to do a lash lift; she'll let me know availability next week 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
