Thank you FP
The 'branded' stationary was to add a professional feel and the paper to save overall money longer-term.
I'd be a lot happier if I could get a bed. I'm chasing used as I don't know if my health will hold up lugging on about and if I get a beauty room I'd have a different type or it may be supplied.
- so frustrating people don't reply!
Dropped two bags of DVD's to the CS. Purchased ³/4 length tights, socks and slipper socks all new.
Went to A1D1 and picked up new pillows, pillow and mattress protectors, yoghurt, rice pots, veg, ham, rolls, choc nuts and other bits.
PAT all done and I've got the paperwork. He'll do them each year and when new items are purchased. I gave him a few broken watches I remembered were tucked away to practice with.
- offered to do treatments on his wife if she's into pampers.
I've added photos to my beauty page, laminated my certificates, put my elec beauty kit back in the trolley and most of my waxing spares have been tucked away.
- didn't have any umph left to organise nail trolley.
I've sent photos of my brow def and tint to the trainer so she can see I'm practicing. Wonder if she'd be allowed to pass me doing it on myself 🤔🤭
We had soup for tea, rice pot for pudding and I've had my feet up for a while.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thank you SH
I'm grateful to have money in the bank to get it underway in a timely manner. When studying for my previous career I had to keep dipping in and out as I couldn't afford to pay for the courses one after the other.
I've taken to this like a duck to water and all the trainers do notice I go through three stages on the course; get stuck in and focus like crazy, begin to grasp it, relax and smile when I've nailed it and it all flows like I've done it for ages.
TomBo has started to properly congratulate me and has said I need frames for my certs.
I am tempted to scale down my day job working area, swap spaces with TomBo and turn the 2nd bedroom into a salon. Even with the wardrobes, which I could hide behind screens and a small desk, there's enough room for a decent massage table, my nail desk etc. I really do want my own room and not a shared space.
I'm going to attempt writing my bio and doing my price list today. I'll also check if anymore beds have popped up as I can't do waxing without one.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

Thanks Skinty
Day job has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I've been made to feel like I'm not pulling my weight. One reasonable adjustment I've been asking for almost since day one, which would benefit my health, was given to the witch who has made my life hell since they started.
Didn't do my bio or price list, but will prioritise it tomorrow.
Home salon is a pipe dream at the flat, but spurring me on for having a room somewhere.
The academy where I've done the bulk of my training is getting numbers for new courses. I've opted for two of them, £929 for both, and one is 2 days. I'd better jiggle budgets and start saving, also get that massage bed!

Best of luck with it all. I know its tempting to get all your certificates up front - but it might work just as well to cashflow it from your earnings and then you might be under less pressure. At the same time I get that your day job isn't great and you want to maximise your chances of landing on your feet if the SHTF.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It's not the pressure of these courses, the training etc as I'm enjoying it all.
The S is HTF and on a daily basis. I'm trying to keep my head down and not speak with anyone now for the sake of my MH.
I rejigged my budgets to "find' the cash to fund the courses. The cheaper one popped up and I've booked it, that's next month. Hopefully the expensive one won't be such short notice; it's external trainers coming in to do these.
I've also started designing my price list / poster.
I've messaged a few more people about beds. Why not remove the ad if sold or reply to people if it's available. I'll probably end up buying new as it's such a faff.
Have to get a brow model and can't ask publicly until I've got a bed to do it off. Want to come across as professional from the off.
It will all work out soon enough!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thanks Skinty and FP
I'm trying to hang in but am not looking to stay in this role when my contract is up. This gives me over 8 months to build up clients. It is getting harder to not shove my notice in but a few more pay days can be the difference between having a float to cover a room and courses rather than using more savings.
I couldn't put the pressure on TomBo to cover the personal outgoings as he's been highly stressed about his job for ages and wants out too.
