I agree the patio set sounds like a lovely idea 😊 Let us know how you get on. The cheapest I have seen was £60. (B & M) I did see some lovely wrought iron ones at the auction house so I may look to see when the auction is and how much they are estimated at. I’ve never bought from an auction before.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks SH and Skinty
I've looked on FB and MP, they're not much cheaper than buying brand new, plus I need to collect them; I also looked at GT and 3bay. I did have an idea of buying the set I want for at home and taking my existing chairs to my "2nd H" as I'd only need to buy a table ☺️
I have only ever helped sibling buy a car at auction, but have attended normal auctions. They are like the TV shows, so always have a maximum price in mind and find out if there's any buyers costs to be added. There's loads of iron ends on 3bay, if your dad is handy with a saw and can fit new slats; none local to me as I considered it for "2nd H".
I spent 90 mins down "2nd H" yesterday, still clearing out a strip for pretty flower seeds to go in, only two more sections of that to do. I also made a start de-weeding the path that runs alongside it; I'll use the same technique to do the home and "2nd H" patio's.
We also collected TomBo's bike, brand new would have cost more than my car did 😮, thankfully he got a bargain and further discount due to our employment. I paid the remainder on my CC and told him it's my cake day gift etc to him so he won't get anything later this year. He's on about paying me back, however, I told him to keep his savings towards anything else he wants for cycling, maintenance etc.
It's a bit damp today, but I'm still going to "2nd H" as there's loads to do before I can really use it for growing and I'm being careful how much I do each session. I'll be planting spuds at home. We're also starting to harden off the corn inside before we begin to do the same outside and can then plant them in the garden.
I'm hoping TomBo can help me fit a mesh fence as that will free up the remaining material I need for a compost bin.

Thanks Skinty and SW
I've purchased a nice basque and have a few tips to use rather than getting small alterations done to the pretty dress, although after trying it on yesterday I can lose a bit more weight from the waist down without worrying but I'm being careful for the next 7ish weeks.
- I measured and have lost a total of nearly 10 inches across top, waist, belly, thigh and calf this year. Which I'm very pleased with.
Well, I've managed to find a pair of victorian style cast iron chairs, sadly the table wasn't with it, edging for where I'll be growing flowers and other useful items. Everything is now down my 2nd home waiting for me to fit etc. All free as found in a skip 😃
It's raining all day and I've already had one soggy session this week. But, I'll be down 2nd home tomorrow as there's loads for me to do.
I've moved money to savings, bills will come out after the BH and I'll do a financial update in a few days.
I mentioned chips a few times while out and were waiting to place our order 🤭 I'll have kids meal and fruit throughout the evening.

April financial round up:
Saved £362.51 in savings, now £9527
Study balance £110
Misc / event balance £279
Car everything balance £870 (paid home ins)
O/S mortgage £55,540 ish
O/S CC £1632 (TomBo's bike and Allotment spends etc) 🙈 but I'll have it cleared over the next few months.
I'm buying gifts for birthdays, anniversary, Xmas etc as I've found some great things while mooching around online. I've paid my plot fees, utilities and other expenses.
Plans for May are try to reach £10k in savings and squirrel away what I can to boost the misc / event balance.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Thanks SH, I'm so chuffed as it all helps keep costs down.
I've been to the allotment, done more weeding and started fitting the 'new' edging. Chairs are comfy for my breaks too. I'm hoping to finish fitting the edging this week and try to clear one space so I can grow in the ground, even if it's only one part!
- I'll have toms in the greenhouse and do need to fit a couple of pieces of glass, also need to buy some perspex sheet as I've a whole strip of glass missing, unless MIL has got some spare glass.
I'm resting up the remainder of the day as I need to do some more of my new course this week.
All in all, it's been a fun long weekend 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I've made a start clearing a section, figured out an easier way for me to get on with it and feel I have a good grasp of how to do it. Can't say I'll have it all done this week, but I'll see what happens!
I'll admit to having my feet up since I got in and eating 2 bacon and haggis rolls for tea, early lunch was egg mayo afternoon snack was a fudge donut; had to ensure high / sufficient energy levels for the digging, but burned it off.
I'm looking forward to the long weekend 😊
