I spent my lunch break down the allotment and made some good progress; cleared one area and started on another. I'd hoped to do weeding in garden after work to do some, but I finished late.
During the dry days I'm planning to do the allotment day time, garden after work. Days off mainly at the allotment while I'm clearing it, with about a quarter of time in the garden.
Sounds like a lot, however I'm being careful and cautious ☺️
I will be resting in the evenings and know it's all going to be worth what I'm doing over the next few months when I'm talking about homegrown veggies on our plates 🤗
We had roast chicken sandwiches for tea, I've got fruit for snacks.

Thank you SH
I've definitely got a handle on reducing my weight this time.
I cleaned out my greenhouse today, tidied up and organised the tools, pots and other bits that came with it. Took me about 50 minutes.
After work I went back and have started digging out one space. I'd like to say I'll have it finished this week, however it's highly unlikely. I spent 90 minutes there.
I'll be having a day off from the allotment tomorrow due to work commitments, but will be spending quite a while there Thursday. The plan is to remove brambles from the wider plot, cut them back in the overgrown area and do a bit more of the space I'm currently digging over.

Don't overdo, tempting I can see that, as it all sounds fabulousIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you DIAI'm not overdoing it, I promise. There pottering about (cutting bramble, tall weeds), gentle physical (pulling easy weeds, tidying, piling junk) and heavy physical (digging the grass and weeds); the latter I'm only doing a small bit at a time.
I am having a lot of fun and treating it as my exercise. Missed popping down today ☹️ but my seeds arrived 😁
I'm getting a qualification funded and start it this month. I've learned from my other qualification not to push myself and will not rush to finish it quickly. Pace myself over however long it is. It's two written pieces to be assessed.
There's another event being planned. I've already started looking for gifts, found some lovely items and will start getting them from payday. I'd really like to spoil A&U as it's their 60th anni 😮.
- I don't think there's any other notable dates this year.

Great to get studies funded.

Thank you Skinty and SH
That's why I want to make it special for them.
I spent all after down the allotment, covered in sun cream as it was sunny, but had a nice breeze. I've cut most of the brambles back and hope the remaining few will take about half an hour; I'll be incinerating the pile for ease / speed and doing a bit more digging.
I've ordered some ground cover to help the weeds and grass due down quicker. Have to take advantage of the nice weather and make things easy for me. I can focus on a couple of spaces, dig the unwanted things out and get sowing seeds and the sprouting spuds.
There's enough bits at home to fill the greenhouse as I've got pots and extra shelving.
- I need to refit what glass there is tomorrow too, get spares from MIL when we visit next month and fit that.
I'm looking forward to the course. In total there's three qualifications and I'd like to do all of them, pacing myself, but will see how life pans out.
We had chippy night, I had a kids meal as that's just the right amount for me, fruit for pudding. Got my feet up and resting.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thanks SH, it was!
I got to the allotment before 8.30am and started the incineration, finished it 4 hours later. Nothing else was done as brambles burn up quickly, so I had to keep feeding the fire.
I stopped for lunch (pie), had a shower to stop smelling of eau-de-bonfire and threw my clothes in the wash! Hopefully they'll be dry by tomorrow as I've only got one outfit for gardening 🤭
Decided to stay home after lunch, not push myself and grabbed 30 mins doze.
I've collected some bits from Scr3wf1x, rest of my order should be ready tomorrow. I also popped to A1D1, grabbed a slab of pop so I can take a can or two down each day, fruit, salad and some beer for TomBo.
I have lost another 1lb this week, which pushes me to a total loss of 1st 1lb this year; another 5lb to go before I reach 11st.
We're having wraps for tea, I'll have fruit for pudding.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4
