Thanks SH and Skinty
It's about £8k paid off in nearly 3 years, which isn't bad for the interest rate. Now, just over 50% of the contractual payment is going on interest which is why I'm thinking bump the O/P to £260pm as that would cover it.
My other accounts yo-yo as they're dedicated pots and mean I'm not touching the actual savings, which is good. Savings would have been a lot higher by now but replacing the car a few years ago is kind of paying for itself with lower expenses. I've still got the funeral money to come back to me and inheritance at some point.
I've tried various mice over the years, only the type I'm using didn't make things worse / made things easier. I lose sensation in my arm and hand doing constant mouse work, thankfully no neck or shoulder pain.
I stuck with the same home insurer, added a voluntary excess and got the premium back to what I paid last year. I'll slowly squirrel that into the car everything pot.
May as well get on with my day and have an early finish 🤭Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
An exciting day after work.
Went to the bakery, got scotch pies for TomBo, a steak pie and cake for me, and rolls. Popped to the butcher, got bacons and he'll call me tomorrow when he's unpacked his delivery so I can pick what else we want.
I had five attempts at doing a bun with the bun tool. My hair is long in relation to my arm length, which made it difficult. I looked up a couple a couple of YT videos and in less than 2 minutes had a bun I'd be happy with without using the tool. I didn't pin it and it stayed in place for 90 minutes.
- next time I'll try splitting the length in half to wrap anti and clockwise while creating the bun, also sticking kirby grips in.
Think I've found the right makeup style after watching a few YT videos, just have to practice getting flawless foundation.
TomBo got ready for a cycle after work, he was nattering away to cat and I must have dozed off as he woke me to plant a kiss and tell me to go back to sleep 🤭
I've been told which allotment plot has been earmarked for me and confirmed acceptance tonight. I could probably rig up a hose pipe from the flat to my plot ☺️

I’m glad the allotment plot is so close to your flat. Do they have water on site or will it mean lots of carrying watering cans, or will you set up water butts?Well done on practicing hair and makeup. My hair is now just a grey short bob, easy to manage and cheap to maintain and I’ve never mastered makeup so I rarely wear any.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Skinty
It's about 100 steps to reach it. There's talk of having onsite water, but for now I'll be taking 5 gal water tubs down to fill up a butt as that's how we originally topped up the garden.
- that will cover toning muscles 🤭
I've not yet practiced makeup, it's so different from when I used to wear it years ago. Now there's base, primer, moisturiser before even getting to the foundation layers 😮 then the contours and highlighting 😯 good job I've a few months to learn how to make a face 🤭
- I've ordered the bits I've not yet got.
Aside from all the above, I need to learn to do upper lid eyeliner with a 'wing'.
Brows and lashes I'll dye, then have the brows threaded.
I'll be wearing pastel around the lid and under the lower lashes, with a shimmer / subtle glitter near the brow part. Blusher will be subtle and a pastel shade. Lips I'm contemplating a matt red. Nails I'm torn between red, pink, silver or a shimmer; I'm currently keeping them shorter than normal and will let them grow properly in about 6 to 8 weeks.
I popped to the bakers for more rolls, gave in to a choc cake which I'll be eating until Sunday night. Went to the butcher's and got beef and bacon.
This afternoon I'm chilling, watching makeup videos and it's bacon rolls for tea, pudding is choc cake and fruit.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

I definitely feel very lucky in having it so close and being offered it within a relatively short time. It's 80sqm and £22py, incl annual membership. The contract is all signed, just waiting to pay and gain my key.
After trying three different ways, I picked the 'wing' that suits me for the eyeliner. Lower liner looks good as a thin line across my lashes, just need a few more attempts at doing the lid liner; I've watched a few more videos for tips and will try again over the weekend.
When TomBo finished work the sun began to stream into the lounge, cat fell asleep as the sun warmed her body. I turned my face into the warmth, closed my eyes and promptly dozed off too. I'm slowly catching up on years of missed sleep.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

It's an absolute bargain SH, even if it was 5x the amount of would still be cheap.
I'm hoping there's a greenhouse on the plot as most seem to have them, I can grow loads of toms. I need to check my seeds, see what I've got and get my order in, the supplier I use is very cheap too. In theory the allotment is sufficient to feed a family of four, with surplus, and providing I get my rotations and seasonal planting right, I could be about 95% fruit, veg and herb self sufficient this year.
I've sorted some more clothes out for the CS, plus makeup and some jewellery; still more clothes and jewellery to add.
I've organised my makeup, washed my brushes and ordered a decent set; read reviews and it's highly recommended, cost £5.
Had a go at using concealer under one eye. Also lined my eyes and created a 'wing', used two colours (gold with pink pearl on top) and it was easier to do today. I put a tiny bit of lipstick on just the middle part of my lips, used a pearlescent tint to to drag it over the rest and it looked quite good. I'm sat at home wearing some makeup 🤭
- figured I'd try a bit each day.
Just had a break from doing this update, tried the double plait bun, with kirby grips and it's very quick to do too; under 5 minutes to from stripping down my normal plait, comb and brush through, to bun.
- that's my kind of quick get ready!
TomBo was out for a cycle first thing, he's got several meals cooking for ease of eating over the week and I think we're having a chill out weekend with various films, maybe a potter in the garden.

Would be fab to become self sufficient. Don't forget the allotment may have a seed club / people may be willing to share.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, depends if people are there the same times as me. There isn't a community shed like some places have.
- I've purchased a trolley thing to move water, compost, bags of manure etc from home to my plot.
Yesterday I was in the gardens, strimming grass, sun warming my face and body, fell asleep quite early and was in bed by 10.30!
- wondered why my arms were a bit heavy today 🤭
I ended up unpinning my bun about 8pm last night, it hadn't moved even with being in the garden. Lipstick lasted through several different drinks and two meal times; I'll try that again. Eyeliner never shifted, even after dozing. I'm looking forward to practicing with foundation when that arrives.
We're having summer weather 14° and I'm carefully trying to get a light tan, as usual.
I got us very cheap train tickets, with reserved seats for our city trip in a few months. Collected them today.
We also went to a wind farm, apparently it looked better in photos as TomBo was quite disappointed. He offered me a walk round woods after, but I didn't want to overdo it.
Did the T shop, stocked up on soup reduced to 16p, the usual fruit, veg, milk, cat food and TomBo spotted some fruit flavoured beer which got added to the shopping.
I'm chilling with my feet up, cat's snoring and TomBo is watching YT.
Today's food is bacon rolls, soup and fruit 😃
