If you can do it yourself it's definitely viable DIA, in this instance I had no chance due to the style of dress and what I'm having done.
We had a great day. I wore my chunky boots, jeans, red wrap style top with white polka dots and knee length red coat.
Got my eyebrows threaded while out, did plenty of walking and took some photos.
None of the restaurant's we selected appealed and we ended up in a cafe, lunch was a cheese toastie with coffee. We're going to a French restaurant in 3 months when we are next in the city; I'm saving a decent budget for that day!
I've sorted nearly everything for the CS, just a few more things to sort through. I also put most of my 'new' clothes away, only one carrier bag to deal with.
Tea was chunky chilli and rice, pudding is fruit.

Sounds like a lovely day. It’s great that you can get the dress altered. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone with a sewing machine to alter my curtains. My friend said she would help me sew them by hand but I struggle to hold a needle these days & get a lot of pain in my hands.I’ve never been to a French restaurant. Will you have snails or frogs legs? Sorry makes me feel 🤢 I’m sure they do other lovely things.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks SH and Skinty
One day I'll tell you how much it's cost to get altered, although I couldn't find what I wanted pre-made! I'm looking forward to seeing the final result and have a special bag to keep it safe.
See if there's a local seamstress or sewing group in a shop, there's a few close by me who let people hire the machines, do lessons and have a chat at the same time. Ask in haberdasheries or do a local 'net search.
Nope, not got any intention of eating them 🤢 I just have to see what the menu is closer to the time before I can pick what I'll be having.
Forgot my exam result was out today, quickly checked and I've passed it. I now have a smaller qualification of the overall big one; still haven't the umph to study and definitely overdid it tackling everything so quick and back to back.
Must practice with my hair and makeup this week!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Congratulations on passing your exam.
As for the dress alteration I can imagine it won't be a cheap fix, but as the saying goes, a laborer is worthy of his hire. The amount of expertise needed to do many alterations takes years to learn, and people often say things like 'Oh it will only take you a couple of hours' If that's the case everyone could do their own couldn't they.I hope you have a wonderful time wearing it. Thank you Skinty and Chrystal
I doubt it will take her a few hours seeing how much material and how fiddly it is, let alone what I've asked her to do. I was surprised when she said a week as I expected a lot longer. I've purchased a dress bag especially for it, so it's safe at home when I collect it.
I've had a set of pearls arrive today, they're stunning and will match my outfit perfectly. I have contacted the seller asking for earrings and a bracelet to match as close as possible due to the being real ones; these are being custom made for me.
Just had an email offering an allotment plot 🤗 I've accepted and it's only a few minutes my walk from home. How awesome is that!
Everything really is falling into place this year and there's so much more going on ☺️Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thank you DIA and Skinty
I've a few months before receiving my certificate so it doesn't feel real yet. I do think I've study burnout, which wouldn't be a surprise as everything was full on. I won't be taking another exam this year or starting another module, but will hopefully take the exam I didn't do at the start of next year.
I'll be growing things that do require daily attention, so probably root veg, with garlic and onions over winter. It will free up our garden and the borrowed one for beans, peas, 'corn and other things requiring TLC. I 'fessed up to TomBo about it, when I said the one here, he was fine. Not sure why he thought I'd put my name down on one where I'd have to drive, when a couple of walking minutes away is a nice one 🤭
Had a letter today relating to a very old account, getting under £90 refunded as they kept adding charges when I'd entered the DMP. I'll add that to my misc fund as I've been using that for it's purpose and it's very low.
The CA I opened for the misc fund and to get the reg saver have offered me money to transfer an existing account to it. I'm tempted!
Had a leg pamper, used the salt San spa scrub, then shaved them. I'll do more of an all over salt scrub tomorrow and have a shower.
I've lost another 1lb, only 7 more to go and I'll be under 11st 😮
Had chicken wraps for tea, fruit for pudding.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
