Good job I purchased a trolley thing as I was told the wrong plot. It's actually a full plot I've been allocated, which are as rare as hen's teeth, and for the mere cost of just under £36py incl membership fee. It looks like I can be 100% fruit and veg sufficient 😯
- I'll have to look into fruit trees that can be grown in pots, unless I spot some on the allotment that have been planted in the plot grounds 🤭
I will have a potter down tomorrow and see if I can spot my new plot, then I can begin the great plan of what goes where!
TomBo wouldn't let me have chickens in our garden as that would help with part of self-sufficiency too.
This is such an exciting year ☺️
We're having chicken wraps for tea, I'm having fruit for pudding.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

hello, thought I would pop by and say hi. Very exciting getting an allotment. We have a really big garden and it already had vegeatble area which I always call our 'allotment' !! Didnt manage to grow much last year, but hopefully will be more on it this year.In fact I might write about it on my savings page as the accountability might push me into more action!!ALso im intrguied about all the make up purchases, as someone who hasnt worn any makeup for 20 odd years, its become a mystery to me. WHat has led you to buying some? I reached the 50 milestone last year and was wondering whether I should actually have a skincare regime of some sorts and led to wondering about makeup, but I quickly dismissed that ideas as I have no idea where to start!!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Thank you DIA and ~FP~
Health issues have restricted quite a lot for me over the years and I've currently got some surplus energy; I'm using it to indulge.
If I can master full going out makeup within about 15 minutes and scaled back office, seeing family in about 5 minutes, I'll retain colour even when I've overdone being out. We're planning various trips and meals out until the weather turns and I return to winter hibernation where I can plan what's next on the me list 😁
Had a long lunch today, lovely pamper which left me refreshed.
I've the N1v3a d3rma range for my face; face wash, exfoliant and overnight exfoliant (I don't understand the latter either!). Exfoliation I alternate between which I use.
A day or evening application of B-Sh0p body butter on my face, hand cream when I've not got surplus from doing my face and their yoghurt for legs / feet.
Prior to shaving my legs I've started using San spa salt scrub, even using soap when shaving, then a shower after doesn't wash all the effects off and I have a couple of days benefit.
I use / do something daily to my face, hand cream I wish I could say daily but generally not, legs tend to be twice a week the salt scrub initially then yoghurt a few days later.
Sounds like it takes a lot of time with products but generally up to 5 minutes and the B-Sh0p stuff I use while watching TV so there's no impact on my day ☺️
I worked out what I wanted to achieve, looked up what was suggested, found things within a budget I'd be happy to spend, read and watched reviews from various resources and opted for N1v3a.
B-Sh0p was based on my fave smell, aside from the shampoo as that's highly recommended, and I had a voucher to use.
It can be trial and error, same with makeup but I've found a range I like that's very purse friendly.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Had a chilled out day.
Walked round the village, looked in the CS, popped to the bakers and butchers for the usual bread and bacon and other bits.
Did a bit more tidying up and had an afternoon nap.
We went to T and got cake day gifts for family, leaving gift for TomBo's work mate and the usual fruit, veg, cat food, GF bread and I've tw1gl3tts.
Most of my makeup supplies have arrived and I've been messing about with nail varnish. Opted for what I'll be doing in a few months, light pink base with fine glitter tips; looks amazing 🤩
- I'll try practicing primer, concealer, base and foundation. It's easier for me to get the hang of focusing on one thing at a time.
I'll be colouring my brows and lashes the weekend too. I ordered an 'applicator', I'm going to use it to see if I can do top lashes.
No news on the allotment yet.
Got my feet up watching films.

Sounds like you are having fun experimenting with makeup. I rarely wear it but when I do it makes a big difference. I need to improve the frequency of skincare... Sounds like you have that sorted already.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH
I'm having a great time and enjoying it, which is the main thing.
Did my facial this morning. I've just done brows and lower lashes; poked myself in the eye when about to do upper and gave that up as a bad job 🤭
- I've another thought of how to do them and will try another day.
Had more bits of makeup delivered and I'm only waiting on a couple of nail varnishes. Make up I'm set for ages, nail varnish is my little treat so I can't say I won't be buying more this year!
I'm getting my allotment this weekend, ordered some seeds specifically for it and will make a start on the dry days I don't work. I guess I could do a little on my lunch breaks but would have to set an alarm so I remember to come back home 😀
- I've a folding stool and little cool bag I can take down, for breaks when I'm down there; TomBo has a little stove for making coffee.
We've sown sweetcorn, bush toms and some flowers today, all in propagators. I've put some spuds outside and did a bit of weeding in one strawberry plot. Also organised my existing seeds into sow by month.
Tea is a mini fry up, in wraps 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thank you DIA and SH
I misunderstood, it was our usual chicken wraps.
The little things do make a difference and bring an instant uplift to mood.
Yesterday we were round A&U's doing their garden. I had a good catch-up with A, while TomBo did the same with U.
- we had a well earned little fry up last night!
I'm now an allotment holder and will be popping down later to do a little bit. I'll be working one section at a time to ensure I don't overdo it. Today will be trimming back an overgrown section and clearing out the greenhouse. Next time I'll be sorting out the fruit plot as there's rhubarb and I'll be moving strawberries in from other parts of it.
I have lost another 1lb, only 6 more to go until I'm at 11st; it should start to fall off with the new extra movement I'll be doing!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
