Good you're listening to your body.

On the nettles - could you make home made fertiliser with it?

    Thanks Skinty and SH

We all have aspects of vicarious living through each others posts 😊

I've a bucket of nettle tea brewing as I'm organically growing, same as in the garden. I'd like some gloves to my elbows for when I deal with the next patch!

It was an eventful afternoon. First I sat on brambles while using a hand fork, managed to get the top back and inside of my leg, but it's mainly settled now.  When going to bed I caught sight of the sunburn and questioned why I thought it was a good idea wearing a vest when I usually put a t-shirt on for sunny days; this was with suncream.
    - I've strapless dresses planned for the events and will need to get some colour on the white bits from my tops.

Shaved my legs when I got in, after a sit-down and meds. I'll be able to wear below the knee shorts / leggings when gardening, with plenty of factor 50 🤭

I'm hoping to have a burn session this week as I must dispose of more weeds, bramble and nettle parts as I'm fast running out of space on the patio. Also, I should be finishing the bed edging and get the nasturtium seeds in.

I've passed 3 parts of my new course, only another 29 to go 🙈

Better try to get some more sleep as I've a busy day ahead 🤗

Sorry you were awake in the middle of the night!!

    Well done on your course.

Good that you are looking after yourself. Hope the sun burn wasn't too severe.

    Thanks SH

I want to get the course done and out the way as I don't have much free time and certainly don't want to be stuck inside when it's nice out. Have to try and do, and pass, a few parts each week.

The burn makes lobsters look pale. Somehow I'll have to get sun on the bits straps covered, while keeping the other parts covered, to ensure an even tan as the dresses I'll be wearing to events are strapless; we always take loads of photos at gathering 🤭

Spent most of yesterday down 2nd home and a couple of hours first thing today. I should have that space cleared by the weekend ready to sow seeds and plant spuds. I popped back for a bit this afternoon to sow flower seeds in a space and TomBo was figuring how to deal with what I'm digging up.

I've won a pair of just above ankle wellies for gardening in as my nearly 6 year old trainers are wearing out. Also watching a few normal height wellies for the colder / damper months.

We went shopping. TomBo got me a fork and spade set and now has his fork back home. I picked up a lily bird feeder, we also got the usual fruit, veg, treats, latte etc and I've got salad items.

Breakfast was blitzed oats and milk, lunch caramel latte, tea was pepperoni pizza 🙈 pudding was fruit.

    Nice win on the wellies.

You could perhaps use fake tan if needed for your event?

Thanks SH, I was offered a decent reduction on another pair and they're on the way to me too.

I'm not really a fake tan gal and would rather keep my jacket on all day if I need to. I keep applying moisturiser and some is turning brown. It's just the one section, about bra back spine level that can't make up its mind whether it's going to peel, stay red or change colour.
    - I can't think what level the back of my dress fits and whether it would cover it. I'll try it on again this week to check.

I'll ask TomBo to apply a couple of good layers of sun cream to the tanned / red parts, a normal layer to the untanned sections and stick on a strapless top in an attempt to get an even tan and sit in the garden in bursts.
    - the garden is a sun trap, 2nd home is a bigger sun trap but it's not yet viable for me to have my nice chairs out as the weed / roots piles are getting higher on the patio. TomBo will be taking the garden bins down for me to fill up, then dragging them back home ready for collection 😊

I'm on schedule for having the one section cleared this week and may be potting up tom plants too.

I have ordered two different sun hats, one is for using while gardening, the other for general out and about.

Cat had D&V for 2 days / nights, but seems to be a lot better over the last couple of hours. We have been spring cleaning, had all the windows open but one or more of the products was too much for her to cope with; I sussed it this afternoon. We'll be going old school from now on.

I've completed and passed the first unit of my work course and started the next unit, already passed one section and hopefully get another couple passed this week. I've also started the final assessment, done about a quarter of it, and will be completing the rest as I go along which will shave a bit of time off the overall length of it.

And as I clearly have sooooo much time on my hands, I've started sorting out bday and winter gifts and cards; it's early, even for me 🤭

My first pair of wellies and both hats arrived today. Who'd have thought wellies would be so comfortable, nice to walk in and tend to my plot.

Went to my 2nd home twice today. Making steady progress clearining the section, topped up the bird feeder (they're hungry birds and I can hear their excitement as I arrive), took nearly 10L of water down on my second visit as my flower seedlings needed water; I'll take more down over the remainder of this week and begin filling a storage barrel.

Cat seemed better today, one bout of D first thing and fine until I was nearly finished at work, then did a few little pats, but has been fine since. Hopefully it's nearly all out her system and due to the weather we're having the windows open 24h.

Tea was chicken marinated in a chipotle chilli seasoning, cooked with peppers, onions and peas, served with couscous. It was absolutely delicious! There's a portion of couscous left and I'll dice some salad items to go with it for lunch tomorrow ☺️

Wellies sound good. I have a short pair and they are so comfy I find myself wearing them when it isn't raining!
Glad cat is on the up.
