Thanks SH, me too 😀
I've been studying most of the day, finished the chapter off and have 25 pages of my new chapter before I'm on to the next one.
- think I'm getting into the swing of digesting the info and writing it up as my notes are getting shorter 🤗
I've printed / saved nearly 10 years of previous exam papers. I need to go through them, see which topics pop up and whether any definitely don't in readiness for when I'm doing pure revision. I can do that on my comfortable chair.
I'll be saving the example answers and examiner reports over the next few weeks as a mini break from condensing information. However, I won't be reading those until I've finished condensing my book.
I'm coming up with some unique ways of remembering some of the information, linking it to bands, albums, or even a word which makes me giggle; it's a good thing exams are remote as I'll probably sing or laugh each time I'm incorporating it into my answer!
I made a spicy vegan sausage, lentil and tomato soup, got a portion left for tomorrow.
Got my feet up and we're having a film night.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Just a word of warning - on my remote exam I wasn't allowed to talk...
Glad you are finding things easier studying wise. Hope you have a relaxing day.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

People who've done these exams over the last few years are always talking away, swearing when parts of the exam IT packages stop working and then apologising to the invisible invigilator / person who has to watch it afterwards, muttering about neighbours, outside noises etc. So far no one has failed or got told off about it!
I had a lie in but started studying when I got up, had a break to potter in the garden, harvested enough spuds to last a while (over 14lb), ate fruit straight off the bushes and pulled a few weeds up, had lunch and then carried on with studies.
Got 10 pages left of this chapter before I'm on to the next one. I'm on track to get everything typed up before exam booking closing date. I'm only doing 4 day weeks which helps generate study 'time'.
I have worked out how many pages are left, but it's disheartening so I won't mention that at this stage as it feels like there's not enough time to get it done.
If I'm not up for studying after work, I might cross reference the old book material I've typed up against the new book and make tweaks, even if I'm leaving space to add new info and noting the page numbers OR start reading through the past papers. OR save the case examiner reports OR save and print the suggested answers. Doing something is better than nothing, keeps my stress levels down and it's not taking time away from the days I'm ok to study.
I had leftovers from yesterday, we've watched a film and now watching an old TV series. As always I've got my feet up 😀Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
I suppose if they can hear what you are saying it’s fine as long as you are not asking someone the answers 😆 I’m glad to hear you are managing your study time by reducing your working week. Thanks Skinty
Got rejected for interview the other job. The guy called me, full of compliments, told me to make one minor tweak to my application. If he gets any more vacancies he'll tell me, offer an interview slot as my experience is what he wants and I'd progress up and into a career role with them!
- Not bad considering I'm hiding my studies from them 🤫
TomBo has booked the tail end of the week off and it's his cake day, so I'll miss some study time and try to add an extra bit of time each day to make it up.
Didn't sleep last night and listened to some of my classes.
Down to 6 pages left of this chapter as I did a bit after work.
I've managed to order the exam board course materials for this module and another, brand new would have cost £120, got them for under £12 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Had a shower and washed my hair lunchtime.
Paid a bit more off my CC.
Had a part refund on my materials, bringing the price down to under £6.70 🤭
Ordered TomBo's cake day gift and card.
Finished the chapter, next one is 42 pages and I'm going to try my hardest to get it finished the weekend. I may have to up my studying time or somehow digest the info and type quicker.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Bargain on the study books.
Happy birthday to Tombo.
Well done on the CC payment.
You'll get there with your studies. Pace yourself. You're doing all you can.
Great you got good feedback even if that role wasn't for you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm trying to sweep up books and material over the next few months to cover all the modules I'll be doing, so I hope to grab a few more bargains!
This module is taking a lot of brain power to read through, reread, work out what the person is talking about as it jumps about and goes off on tangents and then type it up. Sometimes I need to look things up online as a key bit of info is left out. I'm condensing 2 or 3 pages into a maximum of 5 lines, sometimes a paragraph or two into just a few words.
My study hours seem to evaporate and fly away and I'm grateful annual leave is giving me an extra study day.
Once I've condensed the whole book, I then have to condense my notes into revision notes.
I am still contemplating resitting the other module, without redoing the course.
After that I could spend a year each on the fifth and sixth modules as they're big ones to learn and hard to pass.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
TomBo went for a bike ride and his stuff arrived, can't wait to see the look on his face 🤭
Forced myself to study as I just wanted to rest after work, but I quickly got into it. Another enjoyable topic. This one is helping me see I could have been even better when I was in my career role but I'd stagnated due to not having more to learn from either the work, managers or simply sticking with my studies.
Got 36 pages left of this chapter and I'm going to try and get it finished the weekend. Have to keep pushing forward to keep on track.
I fried up leftover spuds and had them with vegan buffalo wings, got some for supper or tomorrow 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
