Thanks SHI'll continue with the same 'off' days to use up the holiday, which was agreed when I was told.
It gives me extra study days, which I need, and I have to make a firm decision about when I'm taking the exam.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
PT job not meant to be but I understand your disappointment. As you say there are pluses to the current one too.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The extension contract has come through, I just need to book my long weekend days off when my holidays are updated 🤗
Thought it was Friday today, which wouldn't make sense as I'm working.
I'm slowly finding a routine with this job, it's still slow going but I can work at speeds over the next few weeks. Decided against applying for the FT job as there's out of hours working and the money isn't enough for that!
I attended a meeting held by my regulator, unfortunately missed the crucial part at the start due to being in a work meeting. I've rebooked to attend it next week. The dates don't fall on my days off.
I've done a monster money shuffle and will carry it on tomorrow; my bank only allows so many app transactions and a certain amount of cash per day. All account mouths have been fed, including my CC.
Just a couple of hours more work and I'm done for the day and ready to jump into study mode.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Booked my long weekends, therefore I'm still only working 4 days a week for the remainder of my contract 😀
I'm trying to get my head round LGPS and been playing with calculators as it might be worth dropping some of my DC pensions into it, getting a guaranteed sum in retirement; I wouldn't transfer in my SIPP as that's my early retirement fund.
I didn't do any studying today and had a chill in bed for an hour instead.
We've been over the water this evening. TomBo has purchased a very nice bike (cycle), it's quite sporty and only 2 years old. Somehow we managed to get it into my car. What was odd is he asked me a few days ago if it's ok to buy something, which he's never done before!
We went to mcD for tea, they do a really tasty plant burger 😊 so far I've won two free meals and a pudding 🤭Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Didn't sleep last night, instead I decided to listen to classes. Grabbed an hour when TomBo got up which felt like I'd messed my day up.
I started studying at noon and only have 25 pages of this chapter left. Do like this particular topic and I'm hoping to have it finished Sunday so I can move on to the next one.
I've got to speed up if I'm going to get the whole book done in 5 weeks and will need to include full Sunday's to make up the equivalent of about 20 full days. I'm still going backwards and forwards, piecing info together so I can condense it.
- If all teachers and lecturers have to do this for their classes just to teach them, it certainly explains the hours they put in!

Glad you have long weekends from here on out. It will give you mind and body a bit of a breather to then cope with your studies.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've always enjoyed using holidays to make shorter weeks towards the end of the 'leave year', it's just a shock to the system reverting back to FT afterwards 🤭
I'm waking up tired, rather than exhausted from the off. My night pain waking has reduced a bit, provided I take one med before bed and don't overdo it in the day as that causes my no sleep nights.
Only downside on these ones is I 'hit a wall of chronic fatigue' for a few hours after my second dose of the day kicks in as it somehow joins with the first one, but a couple of hours later that passes. Doesn't happen with third and fourth dose.
I'm not pain free, that would only happen with even stronger meds which I won't take as I want to work, but I'm coping better and do think fully WaH is helping too.
Anyhow, enough of that!
I've found several virtual work experience days and when I've got this book condensed I'll pick one as a reward, before starting revision. I also found companies who do online volunteering, no spaces at the moment but something to look at in the future.
Time to study.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Well done on working so hard at work and also on your studies. I am glad the pills are better but this chronic fatigue sounds so hard to live with. I am always tired i get it. It's horrid. This online volunteering sounds interesting but please makes sure you dont wear yourself out.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

I've had CF for years, it's only now I've realised how bad it was. I did well to function, let alone work and everything else I've been doing.
TomBo's noticing a daily difference, thinks it's due to me working shorter hours.
At the moment I'm gathering up things, but not doing them as studies are my priority. I just thought the options sounded quite unusual but a viable way of gaining 'current' experience and in areas normally out of reach.
I've only got 10 pages of this chapter to finish, which I'll do tomorrow. We went out for a few hours which is why I've not done it all today.
I purchased an external harddrive £45 but used £20 of my survey points towards it. I moved all this module onto it. I can access my course on my phone / laptop. My course and the notes I'm doing are saved to my laptop / harddrive, so I've got a back up.
I'll start filtering more surveys in to build up spending money.
We went to T, it was like shopping on the run-up to Christmas!
