  • Thanks SH and DIA

Finished late today, doing something related to my department but not actual work, so I didn't begrudge that extra time just when I finally got to eat, which meant I didn't need tea tonight.

I've booked another day off work to try and use all my annual leave.

No studying, but I'll make up for that tomorrow.

Moved money across ready for new month bills. Need to sort out a new SIM deal for my phone, I've got a few weeks before this SIM contract ends.

Got my feet up, watching TV 😀

Remember that MSE often lists available SIM deals...

I'm currently debating between 4gb internet £9, or 8gb internet for £10, both are half price for 6 months, unlimited calls and texts, 2 year SIM contract. Just need to check how much data I've used this year to see which meets my needs; it's on my to do list.

I've had an agency contact me about potential career roles. I have replied and will see if they say anything else. I really should update my Lnk-n profile and will try to get that done the weekend.

  • Are they the best deals to get coverage where you live? I get 15gb for that kind of price but live close to town.

  • The potential career roles sound interesting...

There is a cat where I am staying. It bosses me around too...

I don't use my phone internet at home and it's mainly only used for sat nav when I'm out. When I have to change my phone, that's when I'll look at a new provider, for now I'm sticking with my current one.

They do sound interesting, I need to have a proper look at them.

Had some training from another dept this week, if I can get into that one it's a career role; it was the PT one I got rejected for after they spoke with B2. Unfortunately, the job specs are so badly written it's near impossible to know when they are the depts I need to be in although I'm beginning to form an idea of which depts I should be applying for.

I'm slowly coming round to staying and work my way into a career role. The money would never match being in private practice however the flexibility with hours, the possibility of working PT or less days, together with being able to move further into my county without worrying about commuting is swinging it for me. Obviously building up a fixed pension is a benefit too, although this DB accrues at half what my other one did.

I'm working short weeks for the remainder of this contract and can put my heart and sole into studies. I've got 3 weeks to decide whether I'll be ready for the exam, so far I'm swaying towards yes 🤞

  • Had an hour lunch break today, in that time I made a saag aloo curry and had I thought for a second could have run outside for fresh spinach instead of using frozen, however everything else was homegrown 🤭 that's lunch sorted for a few days.

I've had a jacket spud baking away too, having that with homemade kale and onion 'slaw, toms and cucumber; only thing not homegrown is the cucumber!

My umph suddenly vacated my body, I've done a bit of studying but called it a day. I'm beginning to recognise where resting will allow me to increase productivity the next day.

I've paid my CC off. I did contemplate carrying on with the instalments for my course fees, but clearing it now means it's ready for the next one I have to pay for.

Got my feet up and my tea does taste as good as it sounds 😀

    Good news on the payment.

Well done on listening to your body.

DB pension will give security later.
