You are doing so well, i find the new people in a job tend to get all the tasks that noone else wants. You are strong and can do this. Just focus on weekends and keep clockwatching. This job is a means to an end and you will kick it to the kerb as soon as you are ready for exams.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

I agree, you can definitely do this. But don't drive yourself into the ground. Your health is your priority. Without that your modules are in jeopardy, so look after yourself. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you Skinty, SW and DIA
There's no autonomy and work is spoon-fed, I'll be glad when I leave. I'm having a catch up with B2 this week and am undecided about how truthful to be about my experiences to date as it would make things awkward with B1.
I updated my CV and started a new covering letter lunchtime. I took positive steps towards getting out and I finished my covering letter when I logged off.
I went to apply for a new role only it wanted more information about normal school qualifications than I have or even knew.
- Were there different types of GCSE's eg basic, foundation, advanced? I thought it was just A - whatever!
Went to apply for a different one and I'm having to draft something else to fill in another section, so I'll get that finished off tomorrow. I'll also redo my first section to incorporate a lot more information from my CV, unless I can attach that too.
I found a third company doing the same kind of work I used to do and emailed myself the link. I'll apply for that one tomorrow too. I also had a look at a few companies who I would want to work for, including the one who declined me, there's nothing suitable, but I'll keep checking.
I'm keeping all these random bits, various covering letters etc, so I can quickly adapt them and apply as suitable roles appear.
I'll pick up studies this weekend as I should have a clearer head by then. I've barely slept since Friday, which isn't helping.
I know there's a risk to when I plan to take my exam, and I'd have to delay it by another 5 months, by securing a career role. However, if I don't try to get the right role and keep working here, or another unsuitable job, the risk to my overall physical and mental health is greater and one I'm longer longer prepared to pay the price for.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
The meeting never happened, nor did I receive any excuse. TomBo has said I can leave and focus on my studies, or try and stick it out to get money and then have a study break.
I've applied for 3 roles, 1 I had previously applied for and never heard back from them, and just have to see what happens. I'll try and find another couple tomorrow and then keep a weekly check to see what pops up.
Taking the positive step has helped clear my head and I should be back on track with studies the weekend 😊
Tonight I'm putting my feet up, going to watch TV and eating spicy veg and pasta.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
If in doubt - don't over-share. Better to keep your income while it suits your plans. Hopefully over time something better will come up. Hope you have a lovely weekend.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH
Nothing was mentioned or asked, it was just a quick hello, how you getting on 🤨 I've managed to finish condensing a huge document into four pages and created a checklist. I'm up to about 5h TOIL.
I've had enough of computers for today and not submitted applications for the 2 jobs I found last night. I'll get them done tomorrow, or overnight if I don't sleep again.
It's been raining, heavily, for a few hours, no trip to the garden. The flat is very humid and muggy, even with the windows open.
Plans this weekend are harvest some spuds, subject to weather, study, eat, shower and rest.
I've got my feet up, not sure what we're having for tea.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Having a chilled out weekend and spent time in the garden, followed by hours of cooking. So far I've made two pots of tomato chutney, a curry, roasted tomatoes and TomBo made a tomato sauce. I've a few tubs of green toms in the fridge and even more in the freezer. It was a bumper crop of over 19lb and there's still more outside we are leaving to ripen.
I'm hoping to make apple and dried fruit crumble, just have to decide whether it will be served with cream or custard; I want both!
I'll also be making another pot of curry so I've food ready made this week.
Didn't harvest any spuds and I've totally overdone it.
TomBo is going to do the shopping as I won't make it down / up stairs.
Coffee time now, after that I'll shave my legs and have a shower.
I'll do some study notes and contemplating delaying taking the exam until the second sitting. This gives much needed, lets me get to grips with it and provides a bit of fun time too. I just need to work out the knock-on effect with getting the remaining 3 modules done within the remaining time period as I really don't want to complete this qualification the new way.
- I've got until October to register for the exam and will see how I'm getting on at that point.

Delaying the exam would be kinder on your body and MH.
That's a fab amount of tomatoes. Very impressive. I'm really enjoying using (shop bought) sun dried tomatoes in veg oil in a veggie pasta. To me it's the same kind of texture as meat so feels like a more complete meal if that makes sense...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well done on the batch cooking. Sometimes we overdo it otherwise we would never get anything done. However if you can delay your exam instead it would maybe be kinder to yourself rather than overdoing it with that too?0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
