I do it because it's my way out and into much better things, where I want to be. We all spend too much time at work not to enjoy what we are being paid to do.
I'm enjoying this module, already seeing how I can improve and it shows I had stagnated due to not having someone to compete against and push me to be better than them.
Although I got rejected by the other company forcing my hand to take this non-career role, I'm now in a position to vastly improve. I can potentially aim for one of the even better companies straight off the bat after passing this exam or even apply for what I want to be in, rather than working my way up to it.
Unfortunately, I got out late as expected, didn't get home until gone 6pm and have 'missed' my study time, but I'm a step closer to the weekend when I'll clear a chapter, the tutor handout, recorded class and supporting part of the other book.

I've been condensing a huge document today. So far I've got it down to just under 2 pages and I'm hoping to keep it to 3. I've another 10 pages left and spotted so many errors in the master copy. It's already more user friendly. B1 was too busy to do the training, which suited me as I've achieved a lot more without it.
I have 69 pages in my chapter to review and condense. I've got through about 15 but my arm is about to drop off. I'll get the rest finished tomorrow when I'm able to sit at my desk and afterwards I'll type it up. Reading, condensing and typing is all good studying and groundwork for revision.
College officially starts next month, again they're on a Monday but it's 7.30 - 9pm this time. I might crawl into bed straight after!
I'm feeling pretty good about my studies and will figure out a balancing act to avoid burnout.
Been calculating costs required for my studies and regulatory fees until the end of January and I'm squirreling away money so I don't have to 'find' it to pay out.
TomBo is taking us to the cinema next month, he's sorted out tickets for the Sunday showing to avoid my solid study says and give me a break from them.

I've paid for my work to be marked and now can, pretend to, forget about it. I'm on to a bigger subject matter and have to put all my energy into that.
I have 2 months to make a huge dent in my new module and decide if I'll be ready to sit the exam in 5 months. I don't want to pay for that one yet until I'm sure.
At this stage I don't know if I'll be having another 'study break'. It all hinges on if this job gets extended or not, or I secure a career role. It was definitely beneficial with the last module.
I'll have a good amount of revision time due to winter holidays and can sneak in a week off on the run up to my exam. My previous career roles have always allowed a few paid days off for exams, but I'll see where I'm working in a few months.
The exam sitting for the module after this new one is summer and will require careful annual leave planning, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
