    Thanks DIA

Unusually for me, I didn't take any photos!

There's a baby seagull walking around the gardens again, with overprotective parents; I've not been outside but have to risk it later to water.

Made the pot of rice. Filled a 2L tub with the spares and that's my lunches sorted.

Been studying and typing all afternoon. Just a few bits to finish and tweak tomorrow and I'm ready for my first class; I'll do additional tweaks Tuesday then submit it to my tutor.

I'm hoping my books and ink are delivered tomorrow.

TomBo didn't listen to me when I said I've gone vegan and will stay that way when he returns to eating meat. Goodness knows why he thought I've been buying beans, lentils, vegan cheese etc and have a cupboard full!

We're having veg stir fry and noodles for tea.

Thanks SH, it seems he listens but it doesn't register, or he just nods when I speak.

I'm getting somewhere with this module, it all makes sense, unlike when I attempted this one before, and that's just with the assignments and e-learning material.

I am resisting looking at the other modules e-learning I'll be doing as I'll start thinking of those, how to approach them and side track myself. I'll have a look when this one is done, but I'm confident they'll be equally as beneficial.

Watered the garden and picked some peas as a snack, should have grabbed more.

Sofas sound fab. When are they coming?

Watch out for seagulls they can be vicious! Do you have an umbrella? Something light and portable and you can put it up to protect yourself from the air or “flap” it (open & close) at them.

Thanks SH, definitely healthy and delicious too!

Thanks Skinty, they arrive Friday 😊

TomBo found out the hard way last year waving things around only makes them more aggressive, reminded him not to do it this time. The parents watch me closely and so far the baby hasn't set off the stress call to have them verbally warn or dive at me.

Today's plan is study / finish first draft all day, broken by receiving postal deliveries (hopefully books and ink), collecting meds, having a shower and lunch. I'll eat just after 5pm so it's settled and I'm ready for class at 6pm.

When I'm working it will be soup and toast due to commuting and not having much time for food before class starts, possibly a bit more toast after so I don't go to bed hungry.

Windows are open as it's really warm today, I'm about to make an iced coffee 😃

My ink and books arrived, printer is up and running and I've everything printed for the next few weeks.

There's now a second bad taste for this new role. They've reduced the salary down to the lowest amount. No sorry the other was an error here's an explanation, just a sorry for any inconvenience. I've sent a response and waiting a reply.

Tax, NI and pension deductions, means I'd pick up is less than my previous job as it's not a full month's pay but 4 weeks. The only way I can pick up more is by not opting into the pension, which would be fine if I knew it was only a short-term role and I wouldn't get an extension or punted into another similar one.

SIL is appalled, TomBo asked if I just want to continue focusing on studies instead.

I have been to collect my meds, popped in the shop for salad and spuds to bake, had lunch and still irked hours later.

I've rejigged budgets and can potentially save £1400 over the FTC, depending on how much petrol I end up using, which means I'm looking to return to my career this year while in the thick of studying instead of when doing my final module.

    Everything happens for a reason.

Going to have my shower, make an iced coffee after and crack on with typing.

It is incredibly frustrating. I do tend to subscribe to the money is money view though.

That is awful. You are handling it very well. It is just short term and it allows you to do what you need to within that timeframe.

    Thanks SH and DIA

I've had a good rant and raged round the flat ever since. I'm still toying with the idea of rejecting it or securing a career role. They've not replied to my email, which doesn't surprise me.

I'm trying to focus on my qualification as I MUST get all 5 courses passed within 3.5 years.  If I fall behind on one, it has a knock-on effect to the next and so on and will begin to dent my confidence.

Had serious technical issues trying to join the class and had to download T to my phone. I kept trying different ways to get the laptop to do it while listening but unable to read what was displayed on my phone.  TomBo tried various things too, and after about 45 minutes I went incognito and got in. At least I know for next week, but my stress levels were through the roof! Aside from that, class went well and I'll be submitting my T1 work tomorrow 😊

It's a lot easier not having the pressure of working while trying to study. That's why I'm partly narked about the wage reduction as the money I planned to save would have covered time off for a tricky module. All I can do is keep saving and adapt plans over time.

I've had rice, salad, falafel and feta for lunch and again for tea, nibbles was roasted yellow split peas, I've had the last of my chocolate. Must have breakfast in the morning as my food has filled me, but only for a few hours.
