Alarm is off and I'm pleased to see the back of this week!
I was picking seeds off my fresh strawberries last night, put them in a propagator when I got in 🤭 and someone on a gardening group is sending some plants up to me; I'll be keeping some, distributing some and planting some in the neighbours gardens. I'll have fields of strawberries 😄😄😄
The Tom plants have perked up more too.
I'll have to check back through my diary tomorrow to see what my plans are, all I can remember is my desk and setting it all up.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Has to cut my other post as I was presented with food, we had veg wraps. TomBo is watching a load of vegi cooking progs on YT which is why meat isn't being mentioned that often.
The plan for tomorrow is update CV and Lk-in, apply for jobs, have desk delivery and set it up, potter in the garden, do CPD and read books. I might have a pamper and I must finish cleaning the shower room. Maybe Occ H will call, which would be good as it's out the way.
- swimming would be good to do after I've finished this role. SIL said there's a discount with the LA post, conveniently I'd also be passing a pool on my way home 😉
TomBo got paid and I've distributed most of what I received, including paying some of the CC off. I kept £100 back for the trip to MIL and the shops he's taking me to, but I'll sneak the bulk of it into my tide-me-over funds.
Haven't had to water the garden as it's rained off and on all day, with in and out sunshine. I'll be picking spinach for my lentil curry soup soon 🤭
As always, I've my feet up and watched some old sci fi.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Glad you are relaxing. I never really thought of strawberries growing from seed. I thought most people did it with runners...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, a lot of mine were seeds from my seed supplier (99p for 500), they're producing babies too. I like experimenting and seeing if I can get things to grow from what I eat 😊
Thanks Skinty, I've had a minor panic about how they will get the desk in, but the wardrobes from another shop were bigger and they were put in place ok!
Got up at 6am, padded through and said "I thought it was later", muttered reply was "so did I" 🙈
I've had a v / gf rocky road slice for breakfast, I'll have toast and milk for lunch.
It's still quite windy, but a mostly blue sky.
I'd really like to go back to bed, but waiting a post delivery and call to see when the desk will be here.
If I get a July start date, I may just not even temp but use the time to catch up on rest in readiness for working and studying. If I have an August start date I would have finished most of the first module. Just have to see what happens.

Desk delivered, unfortunately the door banging (I've one of the old metal door knockers) on their arrival caused my body to tense and triggered a migraine. It was in two parts, desk and shelves, therefore easier for the lads to get into the flat. I managed to set most of it up before heading to bed, couldn't settle due to noise (need total silence when my head's like that), took some OTC and attempted bed again.
Occ H text the apt date, 2 weeks away; not sure if the LA said it was too long as this evening it's been pulled it to 3 days time!
I've had a pot rice curry for tea, got my feet up and watching TV. Head has eased a lot.
Tomorrow we're going to see MIL and visit a Chinese supermarket. TomBo will drive.
Plans for next weekend are being made, potentially visiting the two girls and dropping plants for their garden; strawberry plants should have arrived and I can hand some of them over too. We will also be going to the ice cream deli shop.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thanks SH, still got a mild one, but hopefully the sea air and change of scenery will help.
When asked when we are going, the reply was the time I got up 🤭
I'm about to charge round the flat, get ready and go.
Hope you all have a lovely day!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
