I agree it feels strange when the bills go out on the 1st after the unrealistic credit of wages on 30th / 31st

I am also not putting into savings this month now I am paying out for my house move. We will be back to normal in a few months building up savings again 😁

Thanks SH, being rested up will soon fade when I'm back in work. I should probably set a time span on when I drop a day as I'm not sure I'll manage another 12 years of FT, unless it is me being in the wrong job contributing to it!

Thanks Skinty, we'll both resume savings around the same time 😊

Had an early wake up call when a rickity bus went by.

I've moved interest payments into other accounts, that way it will gain further interest; I'm at the maximum balance with some accounts.

Better get ready, nearly the weekend 😀

It all be great if you can work towards a 4 day week. You might manage FT for another 12 years but dropping a day makes such a difference to quality of life.

    Have a good day

Thanks DIA, I'll see how it goes as the plan was 12 years FT, then wind down and drop hours / days for 2 years, before retiring at 60. It must be this job draining me; 2.5 weeks to go.

I never made it into the garden yesterday, but will definitely have to when I get home today. Everything will need watering.

My diakon have sprouted in the propagators, hopefully the ones outside have too as the weather has been warm.

Tomorrow will be a busy one. Doing the PaH run, dropping to SIL and the girls, also dropping plants to the girls. We'll be going to the ice cream shop deli too.

If the weather is ok Sunday I'll potter in the garden.

I had to look up daikon 😆 Hope your work day goes quickly and you have a lovely weekend. I take it you do not have the 2 bank holidays off this week?

I've a funny habit of using various names for things, depending on which country (on TV) introduced me to it!

Most other places have had the BHs, not us and as there's no activity the day feels about a week long! Better get back to it.

Watered the garden when I got in, everything is growing well and my spuds are getting flowers, strawberries are turning red and I lifted some late growing garlic (the one which should have sprouted and been picked last year, it smelt so good).

Had to take the propagator lids off when I got home, daikon had a growth spurt! The ones outside in the pots and ground are a few days behind.

We had stir fry veg and noodles for tea, a-delight for pudding. Got my feet up and resting.

Your garden sounds like it is flourishing 😁

I haven’t had angel delight for years. What flavour did you have?

It's a jungle, water and sun has made everything grow Skinty. I found it quite awkward to twist and step round the marigolds.

Once again there's sprouting tomato seeds in the borrowed garden, bit of a concern with having blight last year, losing all my toms and some spuds as a result of it. Still got a few sections to plant in and have to be careful as that's the garden rabbits enjoy nibbling, but it also keeps them away from mine.

I had butterscotch and TomBo had strawberry, cat preferred mine.

New neighbours have moved in next door, first impressions are good, similar to the lad who lived there before.

The sun is shining, birds are singing and I'm about to shave my legs so I can wear ³/4 length leggings while out and about.

I'm hoping to slip a trip to that charity shop today, see if they've a rug for by my desk. Also doing PaH run and deliveries, plant deliveries and ice cream deli visit.
