It is Skinty, they definitely look after their staff.

My basic package is nice salary, DB pension, good hours, 90 mins break a day, parking, café, petrol mileage for visits, medical care, then I've swimming and other discounts on top 😃

If TomBo is happy in his not-so-new role, I'm bound to be!

Well done on the new job, benefits sound excellent!

Food plans sound lovely as well. I've found TVP to be one of the best and cheapest sources of protein AND it's shelf stable, what's not to love?

Thanks Atrixa, I do like TVP and can do so much with it.

I've done a huge money shuffle this morning, moved the course fee to the dedicated CA, I've also got a S/O set up to transfer a bit of money each month to the RS, I'll manually pay another RS.

Moved £200 to the car everything pot, pushing it up to over £630, I won't be transferring any more in until I get my new job wages.

I have paid the CC off.

I've stripped my outgoings right down for the next few months to the basics, with £20pm allowed for savings, it comes in at under £965 for June, under £885 for July and August. I've cut back on the biggest areas eg petrol and savings.

My money, plus TomBo's monthly contribution, means I'll be fine until the end of August.

Thanks Skinty, It may be July as they think I'll still have to work my notice. I keep checking the job portal for an update 🤭

Having an extended break gives me time to repair / MOT my car, make a dent in my course, potter in the garden and rest. I'll also be able to do things I've put off eg update CV, sort clothes, do CPD, a bit of DIY etc. I won't be going full on each day and will do what I can in my available free time.

Feels weird knowing I can't transfer loads of money to savings for a while, however it's worth that to be free of the current place. I'm secretly counting down the days.

Hopefully I'll get my unconditional offer in the next few weeks and a little more certainty, for now I'll be living life on the edge and ready to quickly adapt.

My healthy order is delayed due to being sold out of TVP, can't remove it as I'll have to pay delivery charges.

I've got my feet up and we're watching old sci fi.

Thanks DIA, I should have a start date by then 😊

Forgot to cancel one S/O, therefore money has been moved to mortgage EF savings. I have slipped money into a few higher interest rate accounts.  I've stashed some away for the car and course costs, so they're covered.

All bills came flying out today, which freaked me out when I saw my money shrink, I've also paid the gas and electric.  Just have to pay for bits of food, petrol, bank fee and posted nibble treats; I'll pause it for next month unless I'm back in work.

Didn't have the energy to go into the garden and had to drag myself upstairs. I have potted up the chilli plants, one less thing on my list!

TVP is back in stock and I'll get my order soon.

Hopefully you will start your job well rested if there is a gap between roles.
