Thanks SH, they are cute and I hope they continue to full size.

Cat was ill at 4am, TomBo got up and looked after her (tidied up), I'm wiped out due to broken sleep and taking ages to settle again.

I'll be booking my car in for repairs / MOT, get them done in the few days I won't be available to work after leaving here.

I've enough money in the bank to last 7 months, it would last 14 months if TomBo continues to send me the same as he has been. It would probably last longer as I won't be spending loads on petrol!

Filled in everything for J1, I'm expecting contact from Occ Health but hopefully can get them to see I'm fine to work; never had such a repetitive form to complete.

J2 has rejected me, for having too much experience; my CV alone was proof of that, let alone when I opened my mouth in the interview and the subsequent peek at my Lk-in profile. I'll dust myself down, apply to the other companies who've got the same roles and forget trying to use agencies as that an extra cost to the companies if they think I'll be moving on after a few years.

We had veg wraps for tea.

Plan for Friday is update CV and Lk-in, apply for jobs, have desk delivery and set it up, potter in the garden, do CPD and read books.

Saturday we're going to see MIL and take tomato plants.

If J1 is LA then I would expect OH to be used to dealing with disabilities and make the necessary reasonable adjustments for you to be able to work. It should be up to them to help you to work, not up to you to get them to see you’re fine to work.

Thanks Skinty, J1 is the LA role.

I always fret when OH are involved as I had very bad experiences with them in one job, nearly led to a disciplinary but I did a great job of explaining what had happened and several managers, including high up ones, got an absolute rollicking, and I got an apology (this is the short version missing a lot of info out).

In another they were very throwaway about a certain aspect of my health and the company didn't want to implement any of the reasonable adjustments from the report; I even had to put a case forward for the recommended WAH 1 day a week and was allowed to try less frequently when everyone else was allowed to WAH.

I did speak with TomBo about it and he said most of the people he works with have various things 'wrong' with them. I'm just waiting for my out of the blue OH phone call to discuss what I've written; apparently that usually happens 48 hours after the form was completed and I'm hoping that will coincide with me being off on Friday.

This month and what I'll pick up next month will be enough to see me through to the end of July. The holiday pay will cover my first module, with some towards my second.

Hopefully I will have a confirmed start date next month as everything is moving quickly, compared to when TomBo applied for his original role.

Thanks Skinty, I hope so as it would be a refreshing change!

I've cleaned the bathroom sink, will do the shower tomorrow, loo and floor Friday. I could do it all in one session but it's about the only housework I get away with doing 🤭

One of TomBo's workmates was passing and dropped a tomato plant off. Turns out it was three, emergency repot and loads of water has been done.

My posted nibble box arrived, peppered nuts, spicy corn, choc and nuts, cocoa vanilla flap jack. All GF and vegan 😃 looks like a really good one this month.

Just had the most random idea pop into my head, it's so crazy, but could possibly work!

I'll be doing a 6m FTC and during that I'll be doing 2 modules of my qualification.

If my contract isn't extended I would be able to temp as and when while finishing off the remaining 3 modules next year. Chase career jobs after the last exam and then start my qualification for up here!

    Nibble box sounds yummy 😋

Didnt realise J1 was only 6m contract. Will there be enough temping work for a regular income or will you need to dip into savings?

I'd have a constant stream of work temping, which is why I don't mind leaving a job with nothing lined up.

The FTC is how they do things, people usually get shifted into a different post, then end up being made permanent in one of them.

Thanks SH, it's the way I've secured roles before. Mainly going in to cover absence for a few weeks, they see I'm efficient and good, the person leaves and I'm taken on.

As been said here, I could really enjoy my role, however I still have to complete my qualifications otherwise it's a hard slog under the new way. It just means I would take a different step with what qualifications I do up here.

Tomato plants are perking up, they were in such a sorry state, soil totally dried out and flopped, but recovering and will hopefully get a good root system now.
