Thanks Skinty, DS's sounds more dangerous!

I'm so pleased with the desk as I've wanted that type for a few years now. Last time I settled for a regular 1K3A one, which TomBo uses for his PC, and I didn't see why I shouldn't have a more functional one considering how many years I'll be studying and potentially hybrid working.

The runner is in place along most of the hall and the brown one goes from lounge to hall, which is the major 'trip zone'. Looks good and has added a nice finishing touch.
    - I'm not sure why he purchased a cable about twice the size of the flat though 🙈

We done some gardening; weeding, potted things up for a couple of people, netted my spinach and kale. Still have to net the fruit but that can be started tomorrow.

Did I ever say about the little robin who watches us? He has returned from holiday and was waiting for TomBo to shuffle soil, move away so he can fly in and have bugs. So cute 😊

I've had third vanilla latte, got my feet up and were having chippy night later; I'll be having spicy chicken bits with salad.

We'll also be finishing off a program we started watching yesterday and after that watching a film which was mentioned in it.

It's been a good, productive and relaxing day 😎

I enjoyed the film and we watched another old one after that.

    Today's plans:
    - harvest things for SIL's furballs
    - transplant chillies and tomatoes
    - sort through clothes
    - grab a few bits from T

I'm looking forward to starting my module and getting this level finished off; I am a lot more settled now.

My ex never supported me during my career nor when studying and always seemed to throw spanners in the works on the run up to, and during, exams. Taking great delight when I would fail some. (got that off my chest).

TomBo is totally the opposite as he has faith in me, tells me I can do it and I'll be fine. He even tells me real life scenarios from another forum; I rattle off an explanation and say on what basis. It made me see my knowledge hasn't slipped away; I'm succinct / confident when speaking / explaining the reasoning behind it and he kept the flame simmering until it burst into life.

Time for a vanilla latte 😊

Love the sound of the desk and the runner. Glad you are getting out of a job you hate into one where hopefully you'll thrive.

Thank you Skinty, his support makes a huge difference, especially as it benefits both of us 😊

Thank you SH, I'll definitely thrive 😃

I've sussed why the jobs fall flat; there's no real personal development, ongoing training or learning. In this one I was told no point me doing a certain course, as I'd learn what I need on the job, in others being told I'd never use what I would learn if I did various courses; demonstrating no doors are open to progress.

Career roles were continually learning, attending CPD and developing, which set me apart from everyone. It meant I had a broad knowledge and quirky files landing on my desk or my boss was trying to deal with one, meant I'd have the answer.

J1 will be constantly evolving because of the nature of the role and what I'll be doing. I've even found various courses I can attend and qualifications I can attain, depending on how things go.

We've delivered harvest to SIL, been to A1D1 and T, popped into a charity shop and got a painted, carved wooden cat (£4); it will be put on my desk Friday.

I've transplanted tomatoes and got my feet up again. Had second vanilla latte too 😊

Chillies and clothes can be done in the week, can't be having too much fun now can I 😉

I had a lovely weekend, hopefully I'll have many more to come now things are heading in the right direction.

TomBo has suggested I go swimming on Friday, pre / post desk delivery, which I'd already thought of.

Today is sunny and already warm.

    I'd better get ready!

Have a good day. Hopefully it will be more bearable now you know you are leaving 😁

Swimming sounds like a great idea. When I move I will be a short walk from a large park and leisure centre 😃

    Thanks Skinty

I have a leave date now as I'm that hacked off here. I've a phone meeting later with the agency who placed me to say why as she has mixed info from my predecessors. In a couple of weeks I'll let agencies know I'm available for temp work and then start the LA role when I get a date.

TomBo is relieved I've finally done it 😃

Huge weight off my shoulders and I'll throw every penny at the mortgage to clear that, while building up a bit more savings.

Everything is progressing with the LA, I'm expecting to have to do an Occ H chat as I've done the "how's health survey", I normally pass them fine when I explain everything. Referencing is underway too.

Pulled out of J3, agency were fine with reasoning.

Spoke with my original agency and was told I should have done it months ago 🤭 but I'll be free of it soon 😃

I've had a potter round the garden, watered everything and there's baby apples on my tree ☺️

Friday I'll prep a CV for temping, set up my desk and see what else I feel like doing, but swimming is an idea.
