The pain of my alarm waking me and I'm back to reality this morning ☹️

To counteract the negativity of my current job throwing water on my flames, I'll be focusing on CPD, reading the books and updating my CV. I'm now ready to go it alone and submit applications directly.

I've decided which two modules, for my Eng qual I'll be starting with and have gingerly looked at 0% purchase cards to pay it, worst case is I use my normal one and spread the cost. Most of my studying will be done weekends, with an hour after work each day.

    Better get ready and go!

Just catching up with your comings and goings. Sounds like you are doing well. Your studying plans sound like a great antidote to any negativity.

Hope you have a good day.

Thanks DIA, it's all starting to come together.

J2 looked at my Lk-in profile, never had a potential employer do that before. I'll be updating it this week and have blocked everyone where I'm currently based 😉

I've various CPD lined up and I've been looking at previous exam papers / examiner reports. I'm itching to order a module and get it underway, but have to hang on a few more weeks.

I did some gardening after work, bit of weeding and potted some stuff up for a workmate.

We had spag bol for tea and I've got my feet up.

I think updating your profile is a great idea. Even as an interviewer candidates have looked me up on there. Remember that's an option for you too.

    Thanks SH
I always looked up candidates across that and FB. I definitely look up the people interviewing me and drop in something about their career.

I'll be updating my CV and attempting to use Lk-in. I've a few ideas running round my head for posts and one or two a month will be easy to keep momentum going.

I've also found several jobs to directly apply for and I do believe it's the right time to get my career back on track.

Thanks SH, this is slow for me! Honestly, when I land a role you'll see the speed I do work at 😃

I'm confident and determined this time!

Been discussing funding the course with TomBo, he said to pick whichever option works out easier / better. I'm mentally sitting on my hands and all my cards, but think I'll use savings as I can repay them from income. He also said I'll be sitting outside in the garden learning, which is a great idea; fresh air and quiet 🤭
    - I'll need a table to work off and a desk inside; he's using mine due to WAH.

In other news, due to gastro bug I'm a dress size smaller. I am using this time to kickstart dropping another couple of sizes. Light bites weekdays and an evening meal, seems to be two coffees and an evening meal weekends. The GF bread I'm buying is so tasty.
    - I will sort through my clothes and pack away the ones I hope to never grow back into. If I keep my weight stable for 6 months I will donate them.
