    Thanks Skinty and DIA

I'm hoping my next GCH tweaks will bring the bill down further, my electric is consistently low.

Not necessarily more positive, just came to a decision and worked out a plan.

Ended up in a couple of meetings today. The MD told a director to leave me alone as they've had years to resolve things, whereas I'm actually making changes. The look on the D's face when the MD said I've (as in me, not the MD) got more experience than them and to never try and claim they have again as I was taken on due my experience to turn everything round; I don't know how I managed not to laugh or smile.

Had tomato soup with chilli and cheese bread.

Sounds like a really positive meeting.

It does SH, but the cynical side of me says wait to see what happens. This particular D shouldn't be in the job or have the title, I've never seen anyone get out of working as much as they do, yet are constantly on a power trip. Jack of all trades, master of none really does apply, as does a little bit of knowledge thinking they know everything.

I know I come across quite arrogant when talking about my working ways, but I've tried and tested methods which succeed and gain results, attained due to having various roles and picking up so many skills I transfer from role to role. In work I'm like a silent assassin, watching, learning, seeing faults / gaps, figuring out how to deal with them and getting on with it.

I managed to have a reasonable sleep, still waking a lot, but I'm not quite a walking zombie today. Which combined with the above paragraph makes me wonder what I'd be like if I didn't have health issues. On the other hand maybe my health issues have made me who I am today, due to constantly striving to keep up with everyone who doesn't.

    Anyhow, better get ready!

Thanks SH, I was left alone (ignored) by 'Jack', which made for a nicer atmosphere and I cracked on with my work, unfortunately my workmate had a dreadful day and was run ragged by the MD.

We had sausage and mash, but both gave up eating partway through as it wasn't nice. I'm not buying bangers again as they're too hit and miss at the moment. I don't like wasting food but couldn't stomach it.

I've reduced the GCH timer, saves me doing it the weekend.

Saturday will be a bit busy as we're present shopping and hopefully seeing aunt and uncle. Sunday I'll have a pamper. Hopefully I can do a little gardening, if the weather is ok either of the days.

The carnations are opening up, pink with a darker pink edge to the petals, and are stunning.

  • Sorry to hear about the sausages. They are not cheap so it’s disappointing when you were looking forward to eating them and a waste of money. Were they from the butcher or shop bought? I would complain as I’m sure the butcher would want to know & may refund you. Otherwise I would email the company on the pack. I once did this to a well known pasty company and got loads of vouchers to use on other products which were much nicer.

Thanks Skinty, they were T finest sausages, I only complain to shops about food when there's random items in and it's to alert rather than have a voucher. They've been debatable a few times hence why we're not buying them now!

Today is a grey one with lots of mist.

I had an issue with my last batch of sausages too and binned them.

Oh no SH, I'd hoped it was just me getting unlucky.

I tweaked the GCH this morning and again when I got home. It's now set for 90 mins in the week and 75 mins weekends. I'll probably adjust it again next weekend. Soon it will be permanently off until winter.

It's going to be a busy one tomorrow!

Popping to my butcher for presents of steak.

    Getting flowers from somewhere.

We're taking some cat food to a sanctuary and clothes to a charity shop.

Then going to an 'alternative' shop tomorrow. I was given some soap Christmas and it was great for shaving my legs; clean results, no cuts and they've been silky all week. I'll be buying a few bars and grabbing some as gifts.

A deli visit is planned, proper cured meats will be selected and bellies will be content this weekend.

Lastly, visiting aunt and uncle to deposit all the gifts 😊

We had soup with chilli and cheese bread for tea.
