  • Thanks Skinty, we're going to the blue coffee shop. I've not yet been given a postcode or road name of where I have to get to, just know I'm going to a car park in s.qu33ns and having a stroll to get the drinks, then another stroll to views of the estuary.

  • A simple February financial monthly update:

    Saved £149
    Saved £60 into car everything

    Paid £10 into the SIPP

    Mortgage stands at £59,721
    CF stands at £1,865

    CC was cleared this month.

I'm having to wait a few days before I can start my CF O/Ps as the DD has just come out.

Plans for March is save £150 and focus on bringing the CF down to about £1k (possibly a big ask, but why not aim for the stars).

    Thanks Skinty

Made my CF O/P today, just have to wait for the system to update to show how much interest has been saved. Making another later this month.

S/O to savings have gone across. My 3% regular saver will be full next month and I can then punt the payment into another RS from May.

Only the utilities, bank fee and contractual CF payments to go later this month.

Did the commute in sunglasses today 😊

We had Chinese chicken curry and rice for tea.

Thanks SH, so am I as I wasn't sure how much more I could cope with.

I'm proud of my money shuffling.

I've a very full belly and eyeing up the last of my white chocolate, maybe later I'll have space.

There's a lot going on and I'm showing signs of stress, TomBo asked whether it's work or everything else.

I think I'm now back to my usual self and won't tolerate working in a toxic environment of slanging matches, continuous shouting, wasting money and management not actually displaying any traits of how to manage. Seriously not paid enough to work in this environment and have walked away from a similar one before.

My actual role is a nice one, if only the directors would sort their 💩 out. I have to talk myself out of resigning each day and have been looking for a new job pretty much since day one, now my head is more clear I'm in a position to update my CV.

Sibling appears to have finally listened and is beginning to make a dent in the hoarding, while moaning about anything and everything.

I'm making a huge push with the CF as that's one less expense to deal with each month soon.

    Thank goodness it's Friday!

Thanks DIA, I've made the actual job work for me, but I can't change the environment / behaviours; they don't accept responsibility for their own actions and blame each other.

We're going up north to visit MIL tomorrow, TomBo suggested Sunday but I need that to rest ready for next week's battles.

  • Sorry to hear about the workplace stress. It sounded such a good place to start off but I suppose they all do until you settle in and work out the office politics 😕 Glad sibling is finally getting on with it. Have a lovely weekend can you get Tombo to do some of the driving so you can relax ?
