  • I think migraine may be work related. Do you do mindfulness? Everyone suggests it. It is supposed to help. I think with work we need to set ourselves a time limit to do work and have some time off each night. I know it sounds easier than actually doing it but as i realised in this illness when we are ill we are on our own and work dont really care so we need to put ourselves first. Just do part of your job role and if anyone complains say that you are doing the job of several people and they have to wait. Then rest at night as you deserve it.

  • Thanks Skinty
Getting there slowly, didn't get repeatedly woken with a stabbing head pain last night, which was good! Just need to put up with the dull pain and ringing, hope they goes soon.

I didn't know SD collected the empties! Just checked, none local to me and I don't visit the areas they do collect ☹️

I will be nipping to T when I log off later, gives the car a bit of a run too. Nothing was covered while I was off, I dread having a week or more away 🤨

I'm hoping to pop to SD this weekend and do a bit of DIY painting, even if I just do one part.

TomBo is planning a BBQ as he ordered some seasoning for meat. I know, we've had the BBQ for months but just never got round to using it.

£42 in the bank, £2 is bank fee. 5 days until payday.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • I am so sorry that you still have this awful migraine.  i do hope it goes they are agony. Fingers crossed you can have a nice weekend. I do like this idea of SD and bbq. You and Skinty are both doing well in your current accounts. I am short of my cc bill due 3 Oct by £98!

  • Thanks SW and SH
I've worked off and on today, but that's the last time as I never really get it back and my hours are getting ridiculously long.

Washing has been done and hung up.

I'm going to confess to making a start on Christmas shopping 🙈
    - All chocolates, cards and paper has been purchased, plus stolen bread.
    - Just leaves alcohol gifts and gift cards to buy over the next couple of paydays.

I also did a regular shop while I was in T, saves me doing it payday. Picked up the usual pork, beef, sausage, pantry items and cat food.
    - Added a gammon joint and duck; possibly making a batch cook soup and Sunday roast, or may save them for December.

I've done more than enough exercise today getting everything up to the flat and very impressed with the size of my car boot, definitely a lot bigger than my last car 😃

I did put the spends on my CC as it's a while before I remortgage and I didn't want my bank to close the account down due to not using it.
    - It will be cleared over 2 paydays as my statement appears in time for October salary 😉

It's doubtful BBQ will happen, too windy and the rain is intermittent.

Plans for the weekend are rest and potter around the garden!

£6.67 in the bank, 4 days until payday.

  • Busy day make sure you get some rest. Good idea to start getting stuff for Christmas so no rushing around at the last minute. If it was me, the chocolate wouldn’t last until Christmas 😆
