Have fun
Congrats on the harvest. I got some baby potatoes when I tipped out a pot from last year. I knew it was possible but wasn't sure I would. Need to check rest of veg patch next...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Skinty, still got the coal shed, however it's full of tools and whatever else TomBo has crammed in it.
Enjoy the spuds SH and hopefully you'll find a few other surprises.
I moved a bit of money to savings this morning.
We've been over a few counties today, got a few photos, attempted a 1m forest walk but couldn't get too far.
Visited the Wallace Monument, but couldn't attempt the walk to get to it, instead I had a good chat with some lads who are into reenactment and history, got to hold swords and axes, even had a coin made the traditional old way cost £1. Really enjoyed myself 😊
Also discovered a farm shop while by the hills and picked up a few pies, spent under £10.20.
Said to TomBo about how we get out and about, seeing loads of places since moving. We've had a total lifestyle shift.
I've flopped on the sofa as I'm barely managing a shuffle, but I'm smiling.
Having steak and ale pie for tea.
- I've a vegan tagine pie for lunch tomorrow, TomBo has a pork, apple and something else pie.

I did SH!
It helped remind me how much work impacts on my personal life.
For a brief moment I contemplated high pressure / bigger wage roles, but what use is the money if I'm not able to spend it.
The benefit would be clearing the mortgage quick, but if I landed a job paying £40k+ then I would look to buy a different property and still have the pressure to remain in a higher paid role to clear the mortgage. Falling into the routine of living to work and only being able to focus on being mortgage free to enable me to step back down again.
Maybe with a couple more years experience of this lot under my belt, I can use the one aspect I am enjoying and find a role doing only that.
That's the great things about plans, they're in my control to change 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Your plans are flexible to change and you can always decide to leave your current job once you have taken everything you can from it. Just be careful you don’t exhaust yourself in the process and make your health worse. No job is worth that.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Skinty. I've a time limit in mind but for now focusing on the CF and remortgage. I am monitoring my health and aware no one else is worried about the impact or my vast workload.
- I could grumble for years about what goes on!
Must take home prepared lunches when I go in. The meal deal sandwiches are revolting, although I like the snack part; cheese, grapes and apple 🤭
Managed to have a shower this afternoon, had my feet up beforehand and since. I'm also snuggled with a hot water bottle.
Having sausage, mash and onion gravy for tea.
£144 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, 14 days until payday.

Cheese grapes and apple are easy to prepare at home & quick to eat if you don’t have time for lunch. Does lemon juice stop apples going brown ? Or take an apple and a small fruit knife.Maybe a flask of soup, again easy to drink if you get busy. I don't have a fixed day I'm in at the moment, sometimes it's the night before I decide and don't have office food at home. I also tend to eat and work, it's something I've done for years as there hasn't been time to stop.
I've tried a flask before and had to have soup for breakfast, smoothie for lunch.
When everything is more settled I can plan grab and eat food / snacks.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Morning, just popped by after reading your diary for the last week.
I did write a longer post, but I'll just say that I marvel at how you've made the heads side of your life coin so much bigger and richer than the tails side.If it's not adding up, compound it!2 -
Thank you @Grogged I do try!
As you've seen it takes many turning of stones to find the right route and plan, but hopefully the ideas also help others build theirs too.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
