The prices round here have shot up. Do you think yours is worth less ? You have heating so should be worth more.

Enjoy your drive out and ice cream

I dont think their price will affect yours as they are not like for like. Ice cream. Yum.

I'm glad you are doing projects as work will be stressful. I am in the same boat as i am learning the syllabus day to day and it will be constant last minute-itis for one year. All we got to focus on is the weekends and rise in wages which mean earlier retirement and mortgage free dates.

  • No, I still think I got a bargain! The prices haven't shot up around here, like other areas.

The neighbours is listed at the price mine originally was, before it was reduced, it's also valued at the offers over price.

If I do move, I will be taking the photos and writing the sales particulars 😃

I think you should be okay. Zoopla might give you some idea.

  • I think I should be ok too, if I was still heavily chasing the mortgage down it wouldn't have popped into my head. I was only going to go with the price I paid for the remortgage, or increase it as per HPI.

    Z thinks + £3k to £22k.
Surveyor thinks it's £2k more, same as the one who did mine originally.

I've just re-read the survey and the surveyor got several things wrong. Quite scary as it's the same company who did the one for my flat and the seller didn't read it before approving; definitely know not to use them 🤨

  • There's not much going on at the moment aside from random pottering and harvesting.

I've found my paint to get the lounge and hall bits finished off over the next few months. I'll tackle a small section at a time. I could do with some filler to fix up round the shower switch and the frames for a clean / straight edge.

Well I took a gamble and said I've loads to do, I'm learning different parts of my role and was recommended I learn time management, then given a list of more work. I've also done some digging to see how some things are done in other departments and after an uncomfortable seat shuffle and silence was told a person 3 bands higher does it for them. I'm trying to get my head round it all 🤔🙄🤨

    21 days until payday.

  • Random pottering & harvesting sounds ideal  :)

Cant believe they have given you more work to do !!

  • Thanks Skinty, there were other things 'recommended' which really got my back up. I took a chance opening up and it was all for nothing. I'm still speechless.

TomBo is appalled, as I repeat some bits back in the meetings, plus he hears my questions and replies.

That sums up my industry too, the last 10 years have been ridiculous jobs have changed out of all recognition.

I keep seeing great staff leave as they know they are being taken advantage of. You are trying your best and i think i would send out lots of speculative letters elsewhere,  but do what you can and try to do things at the weekend to help you relax.  Focus on what you can do with the money. It is similar to my job I think but I am trying to stay sane and imagining like it is the first year when i began my vocation.

  • Thanks SW

I've done 10 hours straight today round the building and setting things up. Got home and cleared some emails to make it a bit less stressful Monday.
    - Unfortunately, I've got a repeat day next week.
    - then the fun of sorting through two rooms full of boxes of things while keeping on top of my workload.

I'm shuffling around the flat, but mainly trying to rest on the sofa.

I haven't had time to update my CV and know I should move on but want to remortgage having a long-term job behind me rather than being in a new post for 6 months.
    - the longer I can stay means a bigger DB pension, more money in the bank and more of the mortgage paid off.

Had kebab meat and chips for tea, chocolate for pudding.

£229 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, 19 days until payday.
