Thanks Skinty
My current remortgage plan is to make the contractual payment plus £300pm O/P, which should be about £600pm in total depending on new APR; I'm over estimating it at 3%.
The difference between sub-prime and new lender contractual payment will get saved each month, together with my normal savings. Allowing me to build up my (at that point) depleted savings for the remainder of 2022, work out my new financial plan in the Christmas holidays and put it in place New Year 2023.
In 2023 I will have the options:
- make larger O/P's- continue saving the difference
- save the difference with a view to getting that savings pot and the outstanding mortgage at the same number
I'm so looking forward to my long weekend. I've definitely earned it this week and it have 17 weeks until I have proper time off.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
I do like payday falling on a day off day, feels like an extra hug in the morning.
There's a bit of a u-turn, they never realised how much work had ended up under my role 🤨. It's all still staying with me, but I'm getting hooked up with other people and will be provided with everything and I just have to copy what they do in their location at mine. This only relates to one aspect, so I'll see what happens when other parts pop up.
- I find it hard to believe, and do wonder who they thought was doing it, considering I provided a breakdown of the two roles months ago 🙄
We are supposed to be going for ice cream today. Not sure what else is planned while we're out.
Later I've got my salon appointment, which I'm not in the mood for. I've also not done my hair.
Hopefully this weekend the cherry tree will get planted out, together with the other fruits. I will then get half my patio back!

Thanks LW2G
We went for ice cream and grabbed a couple of tubs for the freezer, managed to get it safely home before it defrosted.
Did some gardening and I harvested some veg for tea. TomBo planted the cherry tree.
- I'm going to the nursery to pick up more fruit trees tomorrow 😀

I could’ve sworn I posted earlier! 😕 went something like ...
About time your employer recognised your worth ! It’s a shame it’s only one aspect of the job but hope they sort the rest soon too.Hope you have some yummy ice cream and enjoy your pamper session at the salon0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks Skinty, it's highly doubtful. I've managed people across different sites before, knew what their job was, their experience and knowledge and worked out training for them. I know I've high expectations of employers due to my own experiences, I accept responsibility for my own training, do as much as I can to make my life easier, but I'm working with clueless people 😐
- it's demoralising and I'm not the only one feeling like this.
The salon was a waste of money, somehow they didn't dye all of my eyebrows. It's at home where I have proper lighting and can see. I've picked another salon out to try about 10 minutes walk away and will work out back ups to that one.
- I've never been happy with any of them since moving up here; I'm paying a lot more for a naff result.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
It's horrid about the salon. If the new one isnt good you might be better off doing it yourself. I am hoping work will be finally trying to help with the tiredness fingers crossed it helps alleviate some of your concerns but they do sound so slow to deal with it, slippery shoulders syndrome -v common unfortunately. I hope you have a great gardening weekend.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Thanks SW, I'm swaying towards dying my own eyebrows, leaving my lashes and paying a salon to wax. I've picked a few more places out to try, but could save loads of I go with my plan.
We went to a farm shop and picked up some sausages and buffalo burgers! Plus a few other things. Spent under £19 from the food budget.
Picked up a pear tree and apple tree, plus a pair of leather gardening gloves (under £52), paid by voucher therefore £0 and still have about £50 left on the two cards 😀
We've also picked what area(s) we would move to, if we do move up the ladder. It's the places we tend to go to when out and about. They were in the running originally, just that bit too far for a daily commute.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
August financial round up:
Saved £246.08
Saved £40 into car accountPaid £10 into SIPP
Paid £100 Mortgage O/P
Paid £641.05 off the CF
Owe:
Mortgage £61,046 ishCF £3,633.25 ish (I've confused their system by making O/P's before the first DD has come out and getting a call back next week to confirm the balance).
Plan for September:
Save £100
Save £20 to car account
Pay £10 into SIPP
Pay £100 mortgage O/P
Pay £384.63 CF O/P
Current Plan for the remainder of 2021:
I've reduced a lot (savings, car and SIPP) to get the extra together to clear the CF. Once that's settled I can revert to clearing the mortgage and saving.
The savings account maturing in April will be used for remortgage costs, instead of using it to clear the CF.
