    Thank you SW and SH.

Financial planning seems to be my go to comfort place when I'm stressed or upset. Lets me see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's not forever. At some point the mortgage will be paid off and then I can work flexibly, around my needs.

I've accepted a post on another committee. I get on well with the others and it shouldn't take up more than 5 hours a year of my time. Again, it looks good on my CV and was a personal choice not foisted on me, unlike the other one I help with.

Yesterday we went for a drive and stopped off at a burger van for lunch.

I'm trying to plan TomBo's cake day. Suggested a few restaurants by water, or with nice views, and I'm looking for a few more options. Might end up with t-bones from the butcher.

Unusually for me, I double deducted my spends, meaning I've got more left than I thought.

    Roll on long weekend 😀

£97.96 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, 11 days until payday.

SW if your pay is due on a weekday, that's when it will be in your account.
Is your new job a last working day of the month pay day, or last date of the month?
    - the latter would see you being paid earlier due to it falling on weekends sometimes.
There should be something on the staff website giving pay info.

Mine is a fixed date, but when it falls on a weekend it gets paid on the Friday.

Turns out I haven't double deducted. I misread my bank transaction and thought the pay at pump petrol payment had been taken, when it was just the £1 holding amount 🙈

£62.48 in the bank, £2 is bank fee 10 days until payday.
    - Which is more than enough to last, as it's only really my days off I want money available. There's food in the freezer and cupboards and my petrol tank is full.

I get my payslip two days in advance, unless that's a weekend then I get it on the Friday. I'm curious to see what my new take-home salary will be following the increase; I've a rough idea using a salary calculator.

I've been pottering around the garden after work and my weekend trips. There will be a glut of tomatoes from what I've put outside and the ones which have been randomly popping up.

I have left some peas to mature on the plant, while picking others to eat. The mature ones I pick and save for next year, or I can rehydrate during winter for soup / stews.

I'm already beginning to plan what I'm growing next year 😃

    My licence arrived today.

I'm having to go into work next week, for a 30 min catch up meeting 🙄 then hightailing it back home after for an online meeting 🤨 not productive use of my day with my workload.

I pottered in the garden this evening, did a bit of weeding and then watered everything. Had a nice chat with my neighbour too.

Must check the weather and make plans for the weekend.
