Well done on shower repair. I hate it when mine needs sorting! Good to have fish'n'chips. Let's hope the next two days go fast for you.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Thanks SW
It was the main power switch, not the shower itself. Whoever originally fitted the switch didn't do it right, which caused a fail. I'm just so pleased to know I've got contacts to do work on the flat 🤗
TomBo has fish & chips, shared with cat, I had a kebab. May not have space for biscuits as I picked the wrong size!
This evening can go slow, tomorrow it must be fast, then I can attempt to unwind and make plans for Friday and beyond.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

I ended up looking like a $murf when I removed the blue nail varnish. I've worn various colours over the years but don't remember any of them being that hard to get off!
I think the up / down weather the last couple of days is playing havoc with pain levels. Had a dreadful night again, decided to have cat cuddles on the sofa and TomBo got up really early.
Today might be a make up day for my licence photo 😀
Not sure what else we are up to this weekend. I may have a bit of a pamper, local drives and pop to a car shop to buy some stuff; I would like an air freshener, some interior wipes, wax / polish to keep the car looking nice, screen wash and oil for top ups.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Not sleeping is the worst, hope the pain settles and you can get a good night soon.Sounds like a nice chilled weekend!3

Thanks RL
Tried for a nap this afternoon but TomBo's phone kept going off, normally he switches it off when we sleep. I got up in a right grump and sat seething on the sofa 🙈 when he walked through hours later he nearly burst into flames from the look I gave him 🤭
This morning I attempted to sort my licence out, the PO wouldn't do it and told me to come back in 4 months 🙄 I've ended up doing the address change online and will do the photo December; when they are running normally I will get my title updated (by post).
Popped to T and got a vanilla air freshener and the screen wash, plus whatever TomBo put in the trolley. Filled up the car and shouldn't need to do it again until payday, unless we go on long trips.
Pottered around the garden and did some harvesting.

Sorry about the lack of sleep I've had that too. It's the heat rubbish for many conditions. Well done on sorting out bits for the car, gardening and food. Are you sure you dont fancy doing my garden????? It is full of weeds and i can just about do the lawn forget all the borders.
Food sounds delish.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222 -
Glad you are still getting to potter in the garden. Sorry about the struggle sleeping. Hope it sorts for you soon.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

If ever I'm passing I will let you know!
The lack of sleep is a mix of things. Work stress (obviously), baby seagull noise 22h a day, the nighttime heat and the realisation of wanting more free time than I can currently have.
- 4 months until I have proper time off.
I'm working the numbers and may have found a way to pay the CF off quicker, but I won't do it in less than 6m as that keeps the finance company on the hook with any faults along with the dealer.
I can potentially clear the mortgage by 2028, but still aiming for 2030 at the moment.
Each year I work, after the mortgage is paid off, provides me an income for that year plus the next 2 years.
For now, all I can do is keep paying everything down and increasing savings 😀
Not sure what we're up to today. It's very windy, with the threat of rain.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
