    Thank you SH
The more I do, the more I want to be MF and working PT. Doing these 4 day weeks is great, but is only a temporary solution. The novelty of extra pay has worn off.

    In other news:
I'm waiting on a PDL redress payment, £1.83 is due.

I've spent under £565 on gas and electric since moving in 13 months ago.

I think the extra wages will come, I hope it is this pay packet. Well done on swapping your funds around. Your garden sounds amazing. Mine is just full of weeds!!!! lol.

I don't trust them SW.  I've already drafted my next email to another faceless person and expect to hit send when I'm back in.

The garden is coming along nicely. Being able to sit outside, in my own private area, closing my eyes and lifting my face to the sky is the best feeling.

I get to spend the next 3 days in the garden 😀

£248 in the bank (paid utilities after submitting readings).

That’s a great low cost for gas and electric. When my cheap fix expired I found prices have shot up. Hope they do sort out the back pay without a fight needed. Enjoy your long weekend

I do hope it comes soon they owe it, it is so unfair. Hurrah for spending time in the garden. I hope you will enjoy yourself and the weather is going to stay nice.

    Thanks Skinty and SW
I'm not on a fixed tariff, just the normal expensive variable one. I need to do a search for a different company as I can save about £100 a year, which seems unreal.

The missing backpay is unfair. I stepped up, did longer hours, kept asking for extra money and eventually someone said yes. That post is now empty, I'm still covering, still doing long hours, with no end in sight, vastly underpaid for everything I do and the least the faceless people can do is reply to my emails! I know it's not much money, but I've more than earned it.

Car insurance has come out of my wages account, not the car pot 🙈 I've quickly transferred money from savings, would have just used the car pot debit card for spends until payday but I've got the CC DD to come out and £6.75 wouldn't have covered it 🤣
    - I just won't transfer money to the car pot for the next few months, instead pay that into the account I borrowed from.
    - must start paying into my float account again.

Today is a glorious blue sky, slight breeze day. I'm planning on wearing ³/4 leggings, vest top and trainers, with plenty of sun cream; my tan is matching a vest shape 🙈

The plans for this long weekend:
    - sow bean and pea seeds directly outside.
    - set up more netting to act as insect stopper for my greens and shade for everything else needing it.
    - go to the garden centre.
    - maybe go to bread shop.
    - sow more flower seeds in No2.
    - transplant my melons into bigger pots.
    - maybe help at the allotment.

Popped round the village today. Picked up my lamb and other things from the butcher.
Chemist couldnt get one of my meds, never said that last week when I checked they had my prescription. Popped to the Dr, but the chemist had already contacted them. Had to go back to the chemist this afternoon.
    - chemists couldn't get the meds I've now been given and that's why I was swapped from them before. Had to search online for the patient leaflet as one wasn't provided.

Took some photos while out 😊

Managed to spend time weeding, watering, tending and faffing around in the gardens.
    - salad is starting to appear in the borrowed one.

We picked a couple of onions and spinach for tea (spaghetti bolognese).

Hopefully tomorrow will get some more of my list done.

Had a bit of a rest after TomBo got up, was too hot in the bedroom to sleep though.

I was the first customer at the nursery. Picked up some canes for my veg and some alpine plants for No2.

Popped to the bread shop and have supplies for the weekend, including some cheese.

Just letting the weather cool a little bit then I can make a start putting up some shade for the poor plants. This evening we are popping to SIL's allotment to plant up the greens I've grown for her.

I've decided to increase my food budget to £150pm as I do like going to the independent bakery and my local butcher.
    - Reduced my savings budget to accommodate this, but in reality if I was back in the office full-time I would take it from my commute budget as I will be driving in.

Had haggis, bacon, egg on rolls for lunch.

It was another hot and muggy day, but achieved a lot.

I picked up some wild bird seed and a feeder as there's a couple of robin's who live in the next building neighbours trees. They are getting a little confidence, coming closer to us as we work in the gardens and when we move back they come down to take whatever bugs have been uncovered. We always hide the worms.

The PDL redress came, that's been moved to savings.

We popped to A1DI after the allotment, got meat, fruit and a few half price chicken legs; be ok in a curry or something.

I'm contemplating digging a nice summer dress out and just relaxing in the sun tomorrow, with lots of sun cream, cold drinks, snacks and just have a restful day, really appreciate the work we have both put in.
    - It's only seed sowing left on my list and I could do it in the week / next long weekend.

£179 in the bank, 23 days until payday.

Hope you get some sun today and can relax in the garden and enjoy all your hard work. Didn’t you buy a bbq a little while ago? Chicken legs are nice done on the bbq
