    Thanks SW!

We went for a bit of a drive, got treated to ice cream then did a bit of food shopping, will do the proper shop another day.

There's a lot of mist / fog and it's closing in from the front and back of the flat. Told TomBo if there's a knock on the door, don't answer it 🤣

We're having steak for tea, possibly an early night or we'll both fall asleep on the sofa 😀

    A lovely day MF :)
    The mist/fog sounds very atmospheric

Still gardening and budgeting well. Shame you don't live down my way.... My garden is getting very over-grown. It's been too rainy to do much.

Thanks DIA, it did look good over the hills while we were out. Unfortunately, there wasn't anywhere to safely pull over and take photos.

Thanks SH, if ever I'm passing I will let you know! It's easier for us as we don't have the lifestyle most people do and have the time to garden with the occasional trip.

As I'm doing long weekends again, I've given myself £50 pocket money for June. It will cover gardening expenses and a few coffee's while out and about.

My garden is very overgrown too 😆 my grass is almost knee high & I must get out the lawnmower this weekend.

Have a lovely long weekend. Great that you can tweak the budget to allow for garden centre spending & coffees

Thanks Skinty. Seems a lot of things are growing quickly, due to the weather.

I sorted out a box of veg to get planted outside, frees up some space and I can get more things on the go; I'm definitely liking seed trays, I can get loads in and they don't take up much space compared to pots and easier to keep rotating as they lean to the sun.
I've decided to put the dwarf french bean seeds out rather than growing them inside to start with, they don't need any support and makes sense to let them establish from seed.
I also have my root veg seeds ready and everything is in my little gardening bag.

It's going to be a lot of bending today as I get all this done, I will be taking frequent breaks to try and balance mental plans and pain.

Having my coffee then it's time to make a start!

Plants added to No2, he dropped up beer and chocolate as a thank you and also gave us some gorgeous vases he was going to throw out! Said anything else to let us know before disposal.

Peas, test squash and some more test tomatoes planted in our garden and I've done a bit of watering. One of my borlotto beans has been eaten, plenty more on the go to replace it.

Filled 5 spaces now in the borrowed garden; root veg and leek seeds are in, spuds went in yesterday.
TomBo is still preparing the section for annual herbs and other greens; they will all be netted straight off.

I've had a rummage through my seeds to quadruple check what I've got and I found some more runner beans! They're now in pots in the window.

I've popped to the local butcher for a joint of lamb, some bacon and sliced haggis. Picked up rolls from the baker.

We're going back out in a bit and I hope to get onions, the last of the carrots and leeks out, plus some more tomatoes; all in the borrowed garden. Then I need to pop in No2 and get some sweet peas planted.

If I've got any energy left after that, I will sow more seeds as I've got space in the windows 😊
