That’s poor management telling you it’s confirmed and your new salary one minute and then saying it isn’t agreed 😕. Hope they get their act together and sort it out soon.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

That's what they are like. All the different people I've dealt with should not be in management. In previous management roles, if I had done things like they have, I wouldn't have been in that role afterwards, probably wouldn't have been employed by them either!
Whilst it probably will go through ok, I am angry about not getting told the key detail. I have low tolerance levels for incompetence at the best of times, add in me busting a gut, clearing up the mess from my ex-boss and the long hours I'm doing, it's not a good feeling.
I'm going to do some gardening!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

Thanks SW, they probably are related.
I've planted out a squash and tomato, added supports to the existing outdoor toms and a bit later I will need to water everything.
Had a nap this afternoon and feel like crawling back into bed.
Having homemade crispy fried chicken burgers for tea.

We've been discussing the future over the last couple of days. Depending on where we are financially when the mortgage is paid off, that will dictate which route we take.
Today's activities are weeding, sowing beans and peas. Staking a few tom plants and planting a few more out.
This afternoon we are visiting SIL and having chips in the garden.
The weather is warm, blue sky and sunshine, with a gentle breeze. Hopefully the garden will be bearable and I'm taking about 5L of water down.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

Thanks Skinty, I am exhausted and doubt I will get any proper time off this year. All I can do is keep doing my short weeks, where I can, and hope it's enough of a break away from work.
Managed to get everything done in the garden I wanted to.
Sat in SIL's garden all afternoon, chip party was great. I got mini me eating something she hasn't tried before, much to SIL's surprise 🤭Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
I'm glad that you are making some progress job wise but annoyed for you of the incompetence around it. Like you say what they have promised if not agreed should not have been aired until signed and sealed. I hope you soon get the confirmation you need.

Thanks LW2G
The only time I get serious is when it comes to money, it doesn't matter if it's mine or managing spends of who I'm working for.
- I've managed to find a printed copy of the CV I submitted when applying to work for them. It just means I need to type it up and add in my job.
- I have looked to see what roles are around, specifically over this side, but I can consider the city I moved from, for the right salary and benefits. I'm desperately trying to hang on until after remortgaging, but as to be expected morale is low.
To try and counteract the annoyance and frustration, I've been messing with various calculators, reread my 2021 plan and revised ideas for the next 4 years (rounded up for ease).
Now:
- I keep up the O/P's I'm making for the remainder of my fixed term. They won't meet the 10% limit, but will bring down the mortgage nicely. O/P's + contractual capital repayment = £1k paid off every 10ish weeks.
- Save £150+ per month over EF's and communal pots and £100 in to car pot each month.
- DIY when weather turns.
By 2025:
- Remortgage early or when fix is up, keep these O/P's going and pay the difference between old and new contractual payment, then I will soon be meeting the 10% limit.
- At that point I can start paying the excess into SIPP and savings. Get those built up.
