Thanks SW, SH and Skinty
I know, something has to give and the amount of admin my ex-boss has left behind is scary. It goes to show there is no one overseeing what people are doing.
Had a planting out purge yesterday, only 4 melons, 5 squash and some root veg left to plant out!
While sitting in the garden I was watching the different types of bees move from one thyme flower to another, bumbles move around the chive flowers and wasps and other insects having a great time with the various flowers. We've created a happy place for them.
Yesterday I finally got round to opening my apple juice. Although it was only 13° outside, it was definitely summer clothes weather.
I've gathered up all of SIL's plants and we are going to the allotment later to get those in. Will probably do the shopping afterwards.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Only 1 melon, 5 squash and some celeriac left to plant out!
Decided not to pop to SIL's allotment, will go tomorrow.
We did pop to A1DI and spent just under £28 on various meats, fruit juice, milk and cupboard items.
There's half a tank in the car, which is enough to do my office day and any other trips next weekend.
£45 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, 8 days until payday.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Had a dreadful night and ended up on the sofa, took myself back to bed at 8am and grabbed a few hours sleep. Was presented with a decaf when I got up and I'm feeling a bit more me now.
We are having a home / relax day and TomBo has plucked some onions. He's currently making french onion soup and I've got my feet up drinking apple juice.
Later we will watch films and some more of a Finnish crime series. I will water the garden.
Today's meals are soup and roast lamb.
This is what a Sunday should be 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Sounds like a perfect Sunday to me.
I hope you get the allotment as you could clearly use a patch to do more.
My brother brought my sister a box of veg from his plot and i've never heard so may oohs and aahs. I can't wait to be able to grow my own veggies! If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks DIA, you will get your garden soon. For now, if you've got a sunny window maybe set up a herb box. A plastic trough is a couple of quid, as is some compost. Nurseries are selling small herb plants for about £1.50 each, you could probably fit 3 in. After about a month of settling in you could start taking a leaf or 2 off and add to your soups.
Potentially you could get the little carrots growing, a tomato plant or 2, same with a chilli or pepper plant. One of my mates had great success in her flat last year. You could even look to see if there's a community garden around.
When I do end up with an allotment, it's just a case of working out the best way of splitting what I grow over the allotment and my garden. At the moment the allotment doesn't have a water supply, so I would have to get a trolley to take water to it, unless they get that sorted out by the time I'm allocated one. I've joked to TomBo about running a hosepipe from the flat 😃
I'm slowly getting the hang of interplanting to make full use of available space. It will make a huge difference next year when I'm back to one garden.
I've had a pamper hour today. Still haven't got round to colouring my hair yet, maybe next weekend.
Unfortunately, I've an early start tomorrow but hopefully it will be productive with me going in.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

Thanks Skinty
I ended up painting my nails last night, only the pink sparkle.
Didn't achieve what I wanted to today, I won't give up and will keep asking as it's for the benefit of the department. Could barely walk by the time I drove home and must rethink how I will do the proposed new aspects, if I get them.
Had homemade Chinese chicken curry for tea.

Good luck MF. Remember there is only so much you can do at work. Good luck, just keep thinking of payday. Have a hot bath to relax your muscles.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

One day I will say what mess has been left behind and how many years it goes back.
No bath here, it was one of the priorities to have a shower only, or wet room, due to the fall I had in the rental. I went from loving baths, to never wanting to use one again! TomBo suggested a shower, but I couldn't stand and the stool wasn't viable today.
- I was on my feet most of today and missed a load of meds because of it; first lot at just gone 6am, next lot was 11 hours later when I got home.
I've suggested we go for coffee this long weekend, as we don't need anything.
TomBo did emergency shopping run for SIL, the tests came back clear.

Having a night of being wide awake, couldn't get comfy in bed and it's so quiet here. I'm possibly over tired as I only had a few hours sleep yesterday.
My head is empty, no planning going on to pass the time, which is a first for me. No surfing the net window shopping as I did that the other night and I've nothing else I want to look up.
It will start to get light soon as we only have about 4 hours of proper night darkness at the moment, sometimes a lot less. I will be moaning in winter about having a few hours of daylight 🙈
We're having nice weather and I'm determined to enjoy as much of it as I can!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
