    Thanks Skinty
It's more like computer says no, it gets tweaked, computer says no again, gets tweaked again blah blah. I think the person submitting it has never done a regrade / alteration before, which is why they are struggling to get it through.
    - there is an appeals process, which I said I would use if it keeps getting rejected; that seemed to focus their mind.

Even if everything goes through I will be overworked and underpaid as I'm effectively taking on another role with my original one and I will only be the next pay point up from my temporary one. That's why I compare the proposed new salary to my original salary as it seems like I will be getting more. If I compare temp salary to proposed new salary it's lower £500's extra a year.

I've been doing both roles for fast approaching a year and I'm not even being paid 10% of the next band up lowest salary to do everything. I think I did the calculations in an older post.

The worst part is I'm unraveling several years of neglect and things not done, setting up files and databases, covering as much as possible at home, knowing I've got to deal with the rest when I'm in the office, to ensure all records are accurate, while keeping on top of the current work. Don't get me wrong, this is what I do best, but I'm used to companies paying me for it and not having to ask.

I'm so glad you got your back pay but it must be so frustrating to be underpaid constantly. I am hoping that they sort it for you soon.

    Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks LW2G it's part and parcel of PS, why I'm grabbing the experience I am and will be moving back to the private sector in a few years.

I went for a nap when TomBo got up and when I re-emerged was presented with my breakfast coffee.

It's blue overcast skies today, windows are open and our coffee trip is taking place tomorrow.

I'm going to do some gardening in a bit and TomBo is going to bake a pudding.

Thanks DIA, that's why Ren talks me Babs in her posts 😊 we did watch the series not that long ago and it could easily have been us!
    - last time I saw it I was a kid and it shaped my dreams of wanting to do it, just took a bit longer than I had expected.

Thanks SW, you can understand what these places are like with jobs 🙈

I doubt you're snobby enough DIA!

Well, we've had a fun-filled day. Went to the beach and took some photos, then we went to where an old factory used to be and I took more photos. This evening we watched as an iconic old steam train went by; I'm not into trains but was thrilled to see it and can imagine it running from Scotland to London as the fastest train in its day.

It really has been a good one, with so many memories.

Still feeling the happy benefits of yesterday, even though I overdid the walking.

Had a chat with TomBo about the backpay and agreed some will be paid to the mortgage, some to savings, a bit extra on the food budget and some as treat money; I need some warmer clothes ready for winter and I want to get TomBo some whiskey.

Just had my letter arrive for 2nd jab, let's hope I don't feel the same after this one as it's mid-week; it caused a huge flare up and my pain meds didn't do anything 😐

The neighbour, whose garden we are transforming, is apparently telling everyone in the local watering hole all about it and there's interest. TomBo has said he will do others, but will charge for it.
    - This really surprised me, while I won't get my hopes up, I will see if anything comes of it as it was a different neighbour who told us.

I'm waiting to see if the weather dries a bit as I still need to get my plants out. No other plans today.
