Tombo and you are both getting well known for your gardening skills. Well done. It's a good decision to put the money into your mortgage.

    Thanks SH and SW

I went for a 'nap' this afternoon and didn't surface for about 5 hours 🙈

According to my calculations the outstanding mortgage is just under £62,200; I've paid about £4.1k off since it started nearly 14 months ago with normal contractual payments and O/Ps.
I'm aiming to get it to £59k something by Christmas.

Had soup for tea and homemade plum jam pastries for pudding.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

The neighbour, whose garden we are transforming, is apparently telling everyone in the local watering hole all about it and there's interest. TomBo has said he will do others, but will charge for it.
    - This really surprised me, while I won't get my hopes up, I will see if anything comes of it as it was a different neighbour who told us.
My idea in several posts ago!
I do hope it works out as he is clearly talented.
I know he has health issues so it might not, but fingers crossed. :)

    Thanks SW, Skinty and DIA

It's been suggested a few times, but it's down to TomBo to find his own feet. If it was me I would have been down the pub getting introduced to these potential people, see if there was anything in it or just idle chat.

I'm exhausted, wanted to go back to bed an hour after getting up, but didn't want to waste the day as it's nice up here.

Managed to get the last of my plants out. Harvested some greens, onions and spuds, have to pop out later to water everything. I feel alive in the garden.

Having beef with homegrown veg for tea.

£1 in the bank, payday in the morning.

    June financial roundup:

    £241.26 saved to savings
    £100.00 saved to car pot
    £110.00 paid into SIPP
£515.00 mortgage overpayment (£61,690 to go)
    £0.00 CC balance

Some of my backpay went into the mortgage and I refunded an extra £200 to savings; not added that into the above savings figure.

    Plan for July:

    - £200 into savings + refund a bit more of what I borrowed. Maxed out my highest apr account this month otherwise I would have moved it.
    - £100 into car pot
    - £110 to SIPP (it's on direct debit)
    - £300 to mortgage O/P
    - £100 earmarked for clothes/treat for TomBo
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
