Thanks SH, it's coming together nicely and consistently.

I am still ill and therefore taking it easy.

Opticians went ok, was there for a few hours as they were behind due to an earlier emergency. While they had the sunglasses I wanted, they didn't have the glasses I really wanted as they were end of line, picked an alternative pair and within 10 days I will collect them.
    - I did cheat a bit and put it on the CC (£100.24). When the new statement comes out I will pay it off in full again; always got one eye (sorry!) on positive credit history building.

Managed to do the supermarket shopping (£42), dropped some bits off to SIL for furballs.

Really enjoyed driving, sun was out, windows down, music playing and it's great going round the country lanes. Felt alive. Been relaxing on the sofa since getting home.

Had chicken wings for tea, doughnut for pudding, hadn't eaten all day so had all my calories to use.

Forgot to say, TomBo gets his jab next week.

  • It does, for me especially getting natural warmth in me Skinty.

The back roads and country lanes were crying out to be taken in a sleek, classic sporty number with a V8 for company.
My brain was like in films / shows where you see lots of information travelling around the cables, wires and components, splitting off, coming up with more ideas, analysing and working out the ways and means in a fraction of a millisecond.

Today is supposed to be sunny, I've got the windows open as it's warm, hopefully it will brighten up in a bit.

TomBo is still going to give me some money each month. It's so funny as he changes the payment reference each time, yesterday it was 'cat comforts' from the leftovers of his holiday pay 😃

It's sunny over here, too. What a difference it makes to a mood! I do oddly miss having a car in this sort of weather, I just don't miss paying for one... I hope you're feeling better today :)
  • Thanks SW and Atrixa
It's a means to a quicker end, sooner the weight is off, sooner the goal is met and I'm not getting any younger. Just have to maintain self-control.

I have thought about getting the 'sportier' version of my little car, when it's time to get a 'new' one, but will see what's around at that point.

Taking it easy today and just faffing around! So far I do feel better, but will know more tomorrow.

Looked at J0hn L3w1s as I can spend my survey points with them. They have quite a broad range of things from home, DIY to garden, which I could make good use of. We have picked out a cutlery set and will get it ordered when I can get my vouchers. There's currently a glitch with the survey company regardless of what voucher I try and 'buy' whether I use my phone, tablet or PC.

What I'm trying to do is earn points across various places and use them to offset in other areas, think I do alright from it all 🤗

Having pork tenderloin tonight with veg.

Glad Tombo is getting the jab. Good that you are getting the opticians sorted. I understand why you put it on CC - and as long as you set the money aside to clear it immediately from this month rather than next month's pay then it's all good... Slippery slope as we both know otherwise. You have impressive savings though...

  • Your food always sounds so yummy.

I am a big JL fan. Hope you find something that suits you there.

Your scenery sounds lovely. I looked at a house online but the views were of other houses and even a brick wall. I want nice views too!

    I'm loving this spring-like weather too :)
