TomBo is currently painting the hall and porcibule, heard his mutterings about the artex ceilings 🤣 

I should be able to put the flycatchers up soon, just have to work out where the joists are and put the hooks up 🤗

Discussed transforming the kitchen, got agreement after a few words, and so that's the project for the next quarter 😁
- floor / wall tiles, units and worktops. Lots of slow work, but planning a retro turquoise, fill the mosaic floor tiles to level them and I can find a lino off-cut to complete the look.

It’s all sounding lovely.(apart from the fly catchers lol  🤢) I’ve got 2 weeks off at easter so I’m hoping to get lots done then

I'm trying to keep with the age of the flat, which is hard going, but at least there's a good, cheap colour range to do it. The temporary kitchen makeover will cost about £200 incl lino.

I couldn't resist snapping the flycatcher shades up when they were listed on 3bay and will finish the lounge, hall and porcibule traditional 'look'.

TomBo painted the ceilings and upper half of the porcibule and hall walls, I did the lower half in the porcibule. Wish he took more time to get it right and not get it over the woodwork, it's created a lot more work for me ☹️
- will get the base coat on the door tomorrow.

Had roast chicken, roast cauliflower, mash, kale and homemade gravy. Having yoghurt and banana later.

Me too. Know what you mean about the shades catching flies. When DH sorted out our ensuite lighting - a dead bee fell out...

I love turquoise. Perfect for the kitchen.
I took my glass lampshades down and found small moths and a few flies too amongst the dust.

How did the bee get in!
When the shades are up I will vacuum them to get the dust / bugs out.

When the kitchen is done properly I'm looking to get high gloss turquoise doors, proper stone worktops and nice chrome fittings. The kitchen will be super indulgent, but a once in a lifetime purchase.

Looking forward to my long weekend in a bit!

OOOOH dont get me started on a new kitchen it is my dream!!!!! Well done both of you for all of your hard work and for the new light shades. I have no idea what they are but know what flypaper is from the 1970s. I will google. lol.
