  • Thank you SH, SW, Ren, DIA and Skinty

Had the windows open when I finished today.

I've not changed what I eat meal wise, just cut the treats down / out. Even my smoothies are the same as I normally would have. I also got ill before going on my diet. Hopefully I'm getting over it now.

Been doing back to back meetings this week 😐 and I'm covering everything for at least another month.

1 day until long weekend and I've got my eye test Friday.

£3 in the bank, £2 is bank fee, 2 days until payday.
    - No one panic as I do run a zero budget and squirrel the money into savings during the week running up to new money coming in 😃

Glad you have a system in place. I am only managing with my attempt to do zero based budgeting by borrowing from EF.  I don't think I've quite learned the trick of not buying it / spending it / paying it off CC if it doesn't fit in agreed budget envelope... Progress not perfection...

  • If you're borrowing from your EF each month, then you need to cut back on saving / spending / DF. It takes time to work out a system that works, but I think yours will fall into place a lot easier when everything is cleared SH.

I'll get there... I think once we are debt free - I hope to have a big enough cushion that it doesn't matter too much if the budget slips...  a bit like a plane that course corrects towards the end of the journey rather than being absolutely on point the whole way.

  • It's not long now SH, hope you're planning a celebration.

    Long weekend has started, thankfully.

I ordered some more ear studs and cannisters to make my sparkling water. I saved about £7 buying 2x24 instead of a box of 50.
    - The money will come out early part of next week as it's 3bay / P-Pa1.

Eye test in the morning. I've been picking out frames and sunglasses this evening, got quite a few to choose from when I see them in real life.
Normally I buy the cheap frames and have a second cheap pair tinted, it's only £10 more to have sunglasses a normal pair free.
    - This is the scary side of saving for so long. It's hard to get out of the habit of buying something functional and does what I want it to do.

I'm doing the shopping afterwards and have my list ready.

Diet is going well. I'm keeping to under 1060 cals a day, eating well and having good snacks, a bit of chocolate or a biscuit. It's a case of take one, or break a bit off the bar and walk away, not returning for the rest of it.

£1 in the bank, payday tomorrow and then it all starts over again!
