Just some small travel saving postings AGAIN this week. I’m so predictable and boring but paying other debt off has to be higher priority. Have a good weekend everyone. Exciting (for me anyway) to have football back.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 56

Hi,
Just popping in to say hello, and to apologise for not being around for the last two months or so, my health had deteriorated (not covid related) so I had just taken some time out to get myself back to a manageable level before I attempted to log on..... I couldn't, my password wouldn't work and I tried a good few times so had to reset myself but that didn't work either so I had to wait till I could get in contact with MSE towers who helped me and I am back in action...
Not much potting going on as I haven't really been out to use or spend money, but I think like others I will be using card more then cash for now.
Congratualtions Frogelina on your news, how much does newborn cuddles melt your heart, sadly nobody in my life is pregnant so won't get getting them anytime soon and my nephew is now school aged so he doesn't like cuddles so much now haha
Stay safe and well as you can keep washing your hands even if you keep the hygiene up you just don't know about others that may have touched things before you.

Good morning Sue-UU and fellow potters, I've been struggling to log on AGAIN! We had a new Windows update which has thrown out all my settings. I couldn't get my MSE password to work so had to reset it (twice) before I could get on. Anyway...
still not using cash so no change to pot but I have started re-selling my crafts on fleabay...yay! My first sale netted £8.51 after fees so I'm going to make a note of the totals as the money will be staying in my Paypal account until pot opening day. Yes, I know it's not really a sealed pot because the total will be plain to see in my notebook, but it's the only way to go at the moment. We are lucky enough to have a food delivery slot every week to 10 days so don't need to brave the shops. I hate wearing a mask because I find them hot and hard to breathe through and they look a bit sinister but I know we have no choice but to try to keep ourselves and others safe.
Hope you and the family are keeping well, Sue, I haven't managed to catch up with reading the posts yet!
Stay well everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Hello everyone 😁 Oooh Jakesmum that is lovely ❤️ I’m just making some bowl covers at the moment out of scraps of leftover fabric, I might try some sandwich wraps after that, I have some leftover blackout curtain lining so thinking that may act as a slightly waterproof layer, we’ll see. I want to get back into my sewing (I was a garment technologist in the clothing industry for 17 years) and have just found some fabric to make a couple of 50s inspired sundresses. This is all depending on whether by boy allows it! No potting for me at the moment, just spending. We are trying to reduce plastic use in our home so have just invested in a few bits and pieces; I made my first lot of homemade yoghurt last night and it seems to have worked so please with that 🥳. Aldi ask me if Im using cash or card when I got through the checkout so might get half cash out next month so maybe a bit more change. Unfortunately though I think the tooth fairy maybe paying us a visit soon and taking my change, the dentist also confirmed this yesterday 😟

Aww thank you both, it was a lot of fun to make, now just need a little person to put in it! I did say to DH 'why could I not sew when my two were little! they would have looked awesome!'
Ooo Hetty return to the sewing (and fabric hoarding ) I make my own sleeveless tops but need to branch out into more clothing types as obviously me made clothes are soooooo much better than shop bought!
A lovely £2 coin in the pot and 80p in silver from the post office yesterday! there is only 3cm of room left in the shrapnel tin!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £0/£10003 -
mummytummy said:Sue-UU said:Well potted mummytummy! BTW how much does the 75c equate to here, any idea? Thanks for letting me know the worth of the 40 cents, mummytummy, obviously I haven't a clue about other countries money. Whatever, it's still cash potted! 😊A very Good Afternoon to all you Potters! I hope you're all enjoying the week, though by golly I'll be so happy when this wicked heat clears off!! More thunderstorms from tonight, though let's hope everyone keeps safe! I do love them! Time to enjoy looking ahead to the weekend. For anyone who is ill or feeling low in any way, do get well soon. Meanwhile, all best wishes to you.Sadly, I'm laid up at present after spraining my ankle on Sunday, but at least it's not broken, just a bad sprain which will apparently take a few months 😲 until the ligaments, muscles etc heal and are exercised enough. Very unfortunate indeed, but too busy trying to help DH with the rubbish bags as his back "went" in the morning.
It doesn't matter that the amount might seem boring to you, Ant, the most important thing is that it's money saved for a great purpose! 😁 Well done Ant, and you enjoy the football and I'll definitely enjoy the best of Wimbledon next week, I've missed that so very much!Ah there you are, Westie! it's lovely to have you back with us 😀, though I don't blame you at all for not wanting any unnecessary pressure at a time when your health isn't so good. Far better to concentrate on that any day, but no need to apologise!A few of us had problems when MSE changed to the new format, I had to think up several different passwords, but eventually got it sorted out.A very wise final paragraph thanks Westie. By the way, I don't blame anyone for not using cash anymore, it's just too risky and we can't afford risks now!!Take care and I hope you're feeling very much better now.Hello little_sweetie! It's good to see you again, and hope G and yourself are well. Great news about selling your crafts, very well done! 🤗You're quite welcome to do as you're doing with your note book, far better to avoid risks! I'm doing mine in the same way so stick to your book, you don't need to waste money on anything different.T & I've got problems at present (look above). Look after yourselves xx.What a fantastic job you made of the blanket, jakes-mum!!!! 😲 🤗 It really is amazing. I bet your Nephew's chuffed to bits with such a great gift.A rotten shame about DD's mobile, I bet you're still smarting from the cost of that!! Both my DGD's smashed theirs a few years ago.Ah yet another crafter among us then, Hetty, and you've been a Garment Technologist for all those years too! Time to definitely put it towards making all you can and saving cash! 😀Well done with the yoghurt, home made is best for sure.Excellent news about anyone who does their best to cut down on plastic!! 🤗Another lovely £20 down on the IOU list, very pleased with that.Have a lovely THURSDAY everyone, and stay healthy!SueNB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late! So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.

Time is really flying though, don't you think? This is Week 14 for us, but at least there is light at the end of a very long tunnel. For hubby at least. His team start back at work on Monday, although he is still shielding until 1st August. They will work a single shift of 8am to 4pm in teams on a rota of one week on, one week off. But when it's their week off they are on standby in case anyone is ill. Meanwhile admin staff are looking at working right through Autumn remotely.
As others have said, with so little cash changing hands the pot is neglected at the moment. The only cash being spent is on either the window cleaner or our bin cleaners, while our shopping infuriatingly still continues to be over £100 per week.

Hello everyone I’m still working at home long hours too seems work is taking over! At least I’m not out spending money apart from a trip to the village shop for essentials and prefer to send OH as he just gets what’s needed and not the extra biscuits and chocolate which is not good for my much needed weight loss. Sealed pot is a big coffee jar rather than a jam jar so hoping I will get lots of change soon to put in it! Have a good day all 😀
