How nice to see a recent flurry of posts on here, after it had been quiet for a while. The usual few pounds out of my travel savings Potted this week. I wonder does anyone else really need a haircut. My hair and big bushy beard is starting to drive me mad. Could be a big queue for haircuts when they reopen next Saturday, so might need to wait even longer to let the initial rush past. Anyway, stay safe and healthy everyone.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55

Thankfully I have a friend who is a hairdresser and appointment booked for 6th asked to bring a mask and there will be restricted numbers so social distance with others too! Not much going in the pot as not been anywhere but I’ve just remembered did have a trip to village shop for painkillers still got gum/ toothache. Will check my change from my emergency £20 cash kept in my purse since lockdown. But dentist appt cancelled Friday for the 2nd July 😩 as they haven’t got PPE yet now end of month but getting dentist to ring me a Monday see if they can offer any more help. We’re on holiday for a week in July so I really hope they can do something!Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2021 no 50 Target for this year £12,000

Oh dear welshspendthrift , toothache is bad enough when you can see a dentist, let alone when you can’t. Hope you get something sorted soon. Hello! I haven't read or posted for some time - approx 4 months, due to the roller coaster of life - and have 20+ pages to catch up on. I have been putting money in the pot as often as possible and kept up with my plan of £50 each payday, even though I was made redundant, I fortunately secured another job about a month into lockdown. I look forward to catching up!

MrsShazbat said:Sue-UU said:Good to see you back MrsShazbat. I must admit that your posts always remind me of having received an e-mail from my long time friend in Canada!
Another forum I'm a member of probably has my life story in the form of a blog, and the admin there says it reminds her of having a chat. I try.
Hi again MrsShazbat, so it's not just me to recognise your lengthy posts then! 😀 It's good to know you & your DH are well and getting back on track. Those are very good and fair hours for your DH to get back into normal mode with work. Sadly, I think the shop prices will slowly rise, why do they always act so meanly at such times! 🙄I understand why we all have very little cash, but we can always "pot" in varying ways so we have the necessary money we need at Christmas, as well as keeking the thread going! You take care too.A very Good Afternoon to all you SPCers! What a cold day, wet too where some of you are I know. I hope everyone had a really enjoyable weekend whatever you did. Not much in the wayof weather to look forward too this week, but maybe next week, except the blessed Jet Stream is below us meaning the weather is as is to day.
Fingers crossed it'll drift northwards above Scotland which always shows the weather then is GOOD!!
Mind you, it's a case of when it gets there!! 🙄
For anyone who is ill or feeling low in any way, do get well soon. Meanwhile, all best wishes to you.Hi welshspendthrift, it sounds as though either employers are taking advantage of staff working from home, or is it that maybe folk take longer at home due to doing household bits and bobs in between when they come to mind or quite naturally having a chat with OH now and again? If it's the former then it's wrong of bosses to take advantage for certain! 🤔Anyway, keep up the good work of shopping by your OH in helping you get trim! 😉Hi there Ant, it's lovely to see more members coming on the thread, chatting a bit as they do as well. Very well done in your saved traveling expenses! It'll be lovely for you to pay off any debt. With regards to your hair and beard, Ant, wouldn't it pay you to get yourself a pair of clippers and do both yourself and ask someone to help? DH always trims his beard once a month, and at the end of may, with help from YouTube, I did his and he did mine and made a brilliant job!! It's amazing how much help there is, even from professionals on YT. 🤩 Mine grows quickly and will soon need doing again, but DH's will need to wait as I'm on crutches having badly sprained my ankle. So, did your team win? Take care.Oh poor you with your bad tooth, welshspendthrift! I really hope you're able to have it sorted soon.Hello again SummerDays, it's really good to see members visiting us when it's possible. It's marvellous to see just how well you're potting, especially after getting made redundant. Thank goodness you were soon able to get another job and keep potting, very well done indeed!! 👏Wherever are you 32b3?? I'll be in touch later today as I'm more than concerned about you!Have a good evening and a lovely THURSDAY everyone, and stay healthy!SueNB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.

It’s payday for me tomorrow so I’ve got £1.45 in my purse to drop into my tin tonight. Trying to work out my budget for July and have allocated extra to groceries as even though I’m back at Aldi the prices have definately gone up. Going to try home bargains tomorrow afternoon as not been there since March. I don’t need much but the poor birds have wondered what has happened to the bird feeder as only fat balls and no suet pellets in sight. Their sun cream is cheaper too so I’ll see what’s available in a factor 50 and hope the sun revisits before long 🌞SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)5

Good morning Sue & all potters!
I'm happy to report another sale of my crafts over the weekend, so £13.83 into my virtual pot
Hope everyone is well. I seem to be losing the inclination to go out at all at the moment. I'm having to force myself to go with G to the allotment occasionally but at least I come back with a few fresh veg and so can save a bit on the food bill. Yesterday it was new potatoes, broad beans and weird shaped carrots!
Stay safe everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

A very Good Evening Potters!
Another cold and yuk day again HOWEVER, tomorrow brings high pressure, but without the heat of last time!!!!!!
Whoopee!
For anyone who is ill or feeling low in any way, do get well soon. Meanwhile, all best wishes to you.Good potting Hetty! 😊 Supermarkets are becoming like extortionists especially with so many now out of work, it's appalling! 😡Home Bargains always gets you a better deal, I wish we had one, but we do have B & M, though Home Bargains are far better. The poor birds, it's costly feeding them but I could never stop. Good luck with the sun cream.Hi again little_sweetie! Fantastic news about your £13.83 sale, and shows just how good your crafts are. 😍It's very wise to get out with G, with the allotment being the ideal place for both of you. Get plenty of fresh air and vitamin D - when the sun's out. 🙄 Take advantage of the cheaper, fresher and far better veg. Lovely to see you A. Take care xxWhat a relief it is to see you again, 32b3! Still, at least you're safe and healthy and that's all that counts. I'm pleased to know you're still working from home, far safer. We've had a fair few of us who've had problems logging in, this new format has certainly caused some problems!! 😞I understand what you mean about going out, and when I'm able T & I go out for lovely walks around the fields and lanes here. I'm so looking forward to going again but have been told by the Dr that it'll take a few months to get fully better! MONTHS!! 😲Take great care, but so good to have you back.Have a relaxing evening and a lovely THURSDAY everyone, and stay healthy!SueNB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!So please just ask and you will be made very welcome

Evening pottersssssssss
Well DD managed to sunburn her hands! who even does that? her face is slightly red with a nice white band across her forehead where she's been wearing her hat backwards, but her left hand was like a tomato and hot and painful. She did have suncream on but that just shows how hot the weekend was, im still gobsmacked she got sunburn on the hardest wearing part of the body though! only happen to my kid
Ooo your poor ankle Sue, and your tooth Frogeltina, hope you both get better soon<dodgy 3 emoji hug here>
Lovely to see all the potters popping in! helloooooo *waves* (so missing all the smilies!)
Had 5 (yes 5!) £2 coins for the pot this week after the lovely lad in my post office gave me my entire £10 in £2 coins as he knows how much I like them
I shall be enjoying my last day of freedom tomorrow by taking the uncle to the bank to pay a bill, then i'm on isolation for 2 whole weeks, which means trusting DH and the kids to do the shoppingwe can live off mars bars and coke for 2 weeks right?
