Happy Saturday everyone 🥳. I’ll be emptying my purse into the pot this evening and starting the second half of the month with a tenner in the purse.  Realistically this is my son’s ice cream money 😆  I think there will be about £3 to go in the pot.  Booked our local NT property for tomorrow so will be taking a picnic.  I have ordered a frisbee and football but they haven’t been dispatched yet so won’t be here, never mind we’ve got 7.5 weeks of holidays to fill.  Hidden most of the extra food I bought yesterday; I should really make a note of where it is otherwise I forget! The fruit is safely nestled in the recycling crate on top of the larder cupboard; he doesn’t know about that one and can’t reach it anyway😉

Its really quiet on here,  i bet it is because of the changes to the forum,  its very clinical and lifeless now!
I hope everyone is well,  I have potted a few coins this week.

Hello 32b,  I totally agree that the forum change was not a good one.  The colours are bland and I can't work out how to liven up my comments with emojis like I used to. I have nothing interesting to report either!

Afternoon pottersssssssssssssss
Well I kinda disappeared for a week or so because I was on the waiting list for an Op, then Covid happened putting it on hold and then suddenly I get a phone call booking me in, a second phone call doing a pre op assessment and next thing I know i'm on a bed in the hospital looking at half a dozen doctors and nurses! My feet haven't touched the floor!
Was only a day surgery so I was allowed home that night, it has played havok with my health though and i've been struggling since thursday when I got home, didnt help I wasn't allowed to eat at all the day of the surgery! I love my brekkie!!  Nurses got a bit panicky as I went all faint after I woke up, i'm sat on the bed going 'no its fine! honest! I do it all the time! It's because I haven't eaten it makes my sugar level plummet'  I got a bit worried they wouldn't let me out!

Not too sore which is good, managed to have a shower today and change my own sterile pad, plaster type thingys, I am making sure DH gets off his backside though, reminding him about my 'traumatic' operation I think I deserve having my cup of teas made at least!
A few pennies in the pot over the last week, I can't remember what or how much i'm afraid, but there was definitely some sort of coinage!

Managed some loose change at the end of the week in Devon, quite a few places only accepting cards so limited the change. Did get a £2 coin which goes in a different pot as well though.

A very Good Morning Potters! I hope everyone had a gorgeous weekend. The weather here was really good. It's so good to see so many members here over the weekend!  Have a super weekend folks.

For all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in any way, here are very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling a lot better.  

Ah whether it's a little or a lot, Ant, it's still cash potted that otherwise possibly would have wilted away on something or other. Makes you wonder how much longer this weird time will pursue. The last I heard from scientists was that it could be here for "some years"!! 😲 Good heavens above I sincerely hope not!!

It sounds like your little lad is a bit of a little monkey for sneaking food, ah well, all you need to do now is try to remember where you've put it. 😂🤣

You're right about it being quiet, 32b3, it's always quiet in summer, but NEVER this quiet!! 😲 I blame the new format, which is just as you say, as well as Covid 19! Blasted virus!  😡

Hello little_sweetie. It makes you wonder just how much MSE Towers like this ruddy format themselves, surely it's not what they aimed for!! 🙄 The thing I miss most is not being able to use other colours to attract folks attention to things.

If you use a mobile phone for MSE can't you get some emogis/smilies from iTunes or Play to liven it up a little as I'm attempting to do. I've no idea about using them on laptops etc, though I expect you can. I know it'll never make it like it used to be, but it'll help. Still, it does help by you all just being here! 🥰

Hi jakes-mum. Ah so that explains your absence, I hope you're feeling a heck of a lot better now, less sore too. 

Lack of food soon messes with our blood sugar. Still, thankfully it's all over now. 🤩 

Well done with however much you managed to pot. 

My DH has worn a mask and gloves throughout the virus, mind you he's very often the only one, but he says there were a lot of folk with them on Thursday. It'll make it far safer, just a shame it wasn't done sooner!

oh dear Jakes Mum , sorry you’ve been under the weather but the good news is that your procedure has been done and you’re hopefully on the right path now.
Lockdown has been , for me at least, a decent time financially. Although I’ve lost a lot of money due to Share dividends being cancelled, less travel/going out has meant more money going to pay down debt. 

I’ve decided to try to pot a little more of my travel savings than I already have been, to make the final figure 3 months from now a little higher.

Oh jakesmum hope you are getting a good rest and a little bit of pampering 😉 The contents of my purse turned out to be do £3.45 so it was potted.  Football and frisbee turned up Monday morning 😬

Hi all, hope you're safe and well, not managed to put much in my pot recently, had DD1 and DGDs to stay for a couple of weeks, she has fibromyalgia among other health problems and was pooorly and finding it hard to cope so we were looking after them. We've had a few days away to visit S-I-L and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
