Hi Potters
Sending hugs to all those who need them. I hope you are feeling better jakesmum
The lovely weather has returned and DH and I have been busy creating a new patio area in the garden (well, more DH than me - I've been supervising!) The patio is looking good now and this week we hope to assemble a pergola over it, so I spent most of the weekend painting all the pieces of wood. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished results.
Still no change to pot, but another virtual £5 in my pot. Have a lovely week everyone and take care of yourselves.

Afternoon pottersssssssssssssss
Thank you for all the well wishes, I got to wear my jeans for the first time since the OP today! Yayyy! I have missed them, have had to wear my gym bottoms as it was the only clothes I had that I could fold under my tummy I am feeling much better, just forcing myself to sit still and let my body finish healing and build my energy back up, but man i'm bored! I hate sitting around!
No pennies for my pot as I haven't been anywhere to get any and I gave DD my last £2 in my purse to get a McFlurry when she went out with DS in his car.
Hopefully get some pennies tomorrow as I need to pop to the post office!
Stay safe all!
EDIT: I have money to pot!! woooo! just cashed out £17.30 from prolific so into the pot it has goneSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £0/£10004 -
A very Good Morning Potters! I hope everyone had a gorgeous weekend. The weather here was really good. It's so good to see so many members here over the weekend! Have a super weekend folks. For all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in any way, here are very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling a lot better. It's good to hear that, financially, things have worked out pretty well for you, Ant, great news, apart from the shares part which I know nowt about.A great idea to get any debt paid off asap.Well done with the potting Hetty. A real shame the frisbee and football came on the day you needed it, that's life sadly. 🙄Far better you care for your DD1 and her little one than your pot, Lucy. Poor girl, she must be in so much pain, and certainly far better off with you both.I'm so pleased to hear you've been away and thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. 🤩You've both been very busy then, siju, well done with, what sounds like, some great achievements! 🤗 It's so good to have the lovely weather in which to do anything to the garden. It sounds as though the end results will be beautiful. 🥰 Don't worry, all us women know that behind every successful man is wife supervising. 😂🤣Great going with the saving, virtual or not. It's so good to hear you're slowly improving, jakes-mum.I quite understand about the boredom as I'm still unable to do much at all due to the sprained ankle, it's been over 4 weeks now and still painful and swollen! 😡 So bloomin' annoying!! 😩Excellent potting! 😍Hubby & I went for a wonderful drive around the Somerset Levels yesterday!! It was gorgeous and even though I couldn't walk far it was wonderful just to get out for the day. We had a smashing picnic, DH also made a couple of gorgeous cuppas in the back of the car. Blissful 🥰Have a really WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY everyone, and keep safe and stay healthy!SueNB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late! So please just ask and you will be made very welcome

Sitting still is not in my nature either jakesmum and Sue-UU so you have my sympathies Your picnic sounds fab though Sue - DH and I were discussing doing the same thing yesterday. We have a week off at the beginning of August and, providing the weather is fine, that's what we are going to do. Our poor old lab isn't up to much of a walk these days, so a little drive and a short walk with a picnic will make him a very happy doggy indeed.
Anyway, I digress.... my reason for posting is I found 20p on the driveway yesterday when I was raking the gravel. Yippee, my first road kill (although does my own driveway count?) of 2020. Plus the first cash I will have potted since March! It's only 20p I know, but I was so excited, haha Only a fellow potter will understand

Nearly the weekend. More travel savings added to the pot this week.
Sue I’ve been round the levels too. Some lovely places. I remember some great names like Chedzoy and Westonzoyland. They were of course devastated by flooding a few years back. Must have been horrendous for the inhabitants.
Siju You’re right fellow potters will understand the joy of finding roadkill during lockdown. I’m pleased for you - and perhaps a little bit jealous!

A very Good Morning Potters! I hope the week has been a good one for all. Not great weather forecast for the weather but no doubt you're all looking forward to doing what you want to do for a couple of days. Have a super weekend folks. For all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in any way, here are very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling a lot better.I guessed you would understand, siju, as you always come across as such a busy soul. Every day I check my foot out, but it still says the same. I exercise it as much as I'm able, but...!Anyway, I'm glad to hear that the picnic was a good idea for you as well. I understand what you mean about your dear dog, age is so hard on them, but a walk on fresh ground will most likely pep him up a little.I'm sure we have one of the laziest dogs on record, especially for a Labrador! She always gets excited when DH gets ready to go out; once out she just thrusts her paws into the tarmac with head down and pulls back hard and keeps doing so unless there's some grass!! She's never been a dog for exercise and is happy to just sniff the same blade of grass over and over again all through the fields! 🙄 She's 10 but has been like this for at least a couple of years. We've had her checked by the vet and there's nothing wrong with her. We've never before had a dog like this, thank goodness! Now who's digressed! I'm so chuffed for you with your 20p find, especially given it's the first of the year! 🤗👏Well, well Ant, so you too have been around the Levels. Westonzoyland had an ex airfield at one time and both our DD and DS started driving there, a great place to do so, but they stopped it some years ago. There are some beautiful areas around here, we love it, especially as we adore nature.Well done for adding more into your travel expenses build up.Our DGS Joey was thrilled to get his Uni results through today. He's got enough for everything he wishes to do with teaching PE!!! We're all so chuffed to bits for him as he's such a lovely lad and has worked tirelessly.Have a SUPER WEEKEND everyone. Keep safe and stay healthy!SueNB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late! So please just ask and you will be made very welcome

Hello everyone. I went a bit mad and potted £11 at the weekend! Very jealous of the roadkill as well, extremely slim pickings at the moment. I’d definitely say it’s roadkill if it’s on the floor, I class my boys bedroom finds as roadkill but they do go back in his money box from where they came 😉 The reluctant dogs made me smile, my Hetty as always been like that. I got her whenever she was 2, she’s now 11, and I had to literally drag her out of the door and quickly close it behind us otherwise she’d try to get back in. Never been a great walker, I think she’s just scared of noise and walking past the duck pond can be traumatic as the geese always hiss at her (and anything else that has the audacity to walk past!). My cat disappeared for 3 days but luckily she turned up yesterday. I was beginning to get worried; my son has never even noticed she wasn’t around. She’s got a bit of a limp on a front leg but she’s still jumping up onto furniture. I can’t see any external damage and she will let me touch it so I’m thinking she’s pulled a muscle or similar. She was hungry and thirsty and has just slept since she came back, spent all of last night on my bed but I am just so relieved she’s back. Hoping for this warmer weather to arrive, I’m blooming freezing! ⛄️Grocery challenge SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 ? Sadly not potted anything for a while - my last cash got given to DC for pocket money, currently paying for everything by card. It seems everyone round where I live is as I haven't even seen a 2p coin on the floor since March. I do have £14 from scratchcards to cash in though next time I get to a supermarket that doesn't have a queue at the cigarette and lottery till.Declutter 2024 in 2024 /2024 SPC = 13 £45.32 (2023) £64.89 (2022) £95.67 (2021) £305.16 (2020)Loan paid off! So pleased for your DGS Sue-UU, congratulations! A lovely piece of news. Your Labrador made me chuckle. Our old boy has always loved his walks and he is still raring to go but his old legs just can't cope with it any longer, he will be 14 in August. We have been walking him a few hundred yards to our local park recently and when he gets there we let him off the lead and he turns around and walks back home It's highly amusing. Get the treats out though and he's like a puppy!
Your poor little cat, Hettyhound, sounds like she may have been locked in somewhere and is very happy to be home!
Our DS surprised us with a visit over the weekend. It was so lovely to see him as we haven't met up since Christmas. He ate me out of house and home. When he lived with us we always called him the Weapon of Mass Consumption and by golly that has not changed a bit!
No potting, apart from the virtual £5 but happy to ramble on a bit and read about the lives of my fellow potters. Have a great week everyoneSPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.833 -
A very Good Evening Potters! I hope you all had a super weekend, Monday & Tuesday...and now Wednesday too! Have a really lovely, and warm week too.For all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in any way, here are very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling a lot better.Hi Hetty, good to hear your cat's safely home! Excellent potting with the £11!! 🤩Your dog sounds nearly as bad as ours, though ours at least wants to go out, or pretends she does, only to then pull bag madly once she's out!!You must be about the first mum whose found money on their child's floor...and not potted it, very well done ✅Sorry to hear about your cat, maybe she's done a little damage to her shoulder, or as you say, to a muscle, I hope she's soon better.I agree with the weather, I dropped off for a little while earlier this afternoon and my poor feet were freezing when I woke! What happened to the beautiful day it was supposed to be?!Oh dear Chocolatedrinker, though you sound like the majority of us in paying via card. Good luck with the scratch card money!Very many thanks indeed siju, dear Joey will forever be reminded of the year he achieved his degree! I expect many people will always remember 2020, many for very sad reasons too! 😞 I'm pleased to hear your dear dog has always enjoyed his walks, all our previous dear dogs have too, but Jessie ....is unique!! She even still digs holes in the garden of left by herself, which we're inclined to do now!! 😵😫Yours really made me giggle at his antics of going off back home once you get to the park! 😂 Ours loves her treats too though we keep reminding her she no longer deserves them!Oh how wonderful of your DS to turn up for the weekend, 😳even if he was starving. Such a joy after so long!Don't worry siju, you never ramble, in fact it's always lovely to hear of the lives of our SPC friends. 😀Have a lovely Thursday everyone. Keep safe and stay healthy!SueNB folks: Opening date for SPC 13 is 29th October 2020.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late! So please just ask and you will be made very welcome
