Small pottings again this week. The usual few quid from travel savings. Had to make a one-off visit to the office last week. Talk about surreal/ghost town! Good to hear people’s baby news. One of my cousins has just become a grandmother which also makes me feel old, although with my young daughter I hope it’s a good while yet before I get that pleasure! Stay safe everyone, thanks as always Sue-Uu for being concerned for everyone’s wellbeing.

I have more good news for you all.
Sue-UU told you of the birth of my great grandson, Oakley, born to GD2 two weeks ago.

Yesterday GD1 gave birth to my great granddaughter Ariarna. 

I probably won't see her for a while as she doesn't live locally, but my daughter went over to see her today. I expect I'll hear how that went tomorrow, when I am sure my daughter will ring me.

You're welcome Hicksy, though I can't remember what for 🤨 A great idea with not taking too much notice of what's being potted as the surprise is wonderful!! 🤗 I sincerely hope there isn't a second spike, but on hearing about China's second it certainly makes me think. I wouldn't be surprised if autumn and winter are times when it could hit and hit hard with flu around as well!! Fingers very tightly crossed. 

Very well done with the £10, Hetty!! 😊 Perhaps your little lad is much happier now he's back to school, it must have made a huge difference for kiddies. Goodness only knows what thoughts of Covid 19 has done to their little minds! Good for the person who told you about the other shop, and brilliant that it worked out so well.

I hope you had a really lovely time with your friend, it must have been wonderful!

Congratulations to you on your great news! 🤗 It makes no difference about your age really; my DH is the 2nd youngest of 9, you can imagine the difference in family ages there as he's younger than some of his nieces and nephews! What a darned shame your family aren't closer so you can cuddle the little treasure. 😞 Not to worry, thank goodness for Facetime or Skype! Our dear friends are to become great grandparents in December for the first time. What on earth have people been doing during the lockdown!! 😯😂🤣

Ooh the sound of cash tinkling into the pots must be so lovely to hear, mummytummy. I'll see how things go here and maybe start potting cash once again.

Congratulations to you Frogletina!!!! 🤗 I know they were both expected this month, but it's so soon! I hope the mum and her treasure are doing well and the name is really lovely. It's a shame you need to wait, but for now at least you have little Oakley to give cuddles to. Make the most of it as I'm sure it's doing you the world of good! Take care.

With everyone using cards to pay for items, road kill has been non existent but yesterday i did find a lonely 5p which is now in my pot.

Well in that case, I will be a great auntie for the 5th time in October! Much wanted and anticipated but a long time coming, we were all a bit worried it was never going to happen, BUT little bundle is finally on his or her way (they are not finding out the sex). 
Crochet needles had to come out obvs, and I made them a hidden mickey blanket as they are huge disney fans and have been to Disney world more times than i've had hot dinners!  I also have just sent a special extra present to my Nephew which I won't say on here until he gets it just in case he, his wife or someone they know is in here and it spoils the surprise!  It is extremely awesome though so will add a pic once he's opened it so you can all see my awesomeness    Then again he's well aware I am an awesome Auntie, when he was in his early teens I got him a ride on a Chinook Helicopter

Congratulations again Frogletina! soooooo many babies! 

I have another £2 coin! and a bit of silver as well so potting is still going, slowly but still a steady jingle in the pot.

Hi all, hope youre all well. Just out of curiosity I counted up my change tin - very surprised to find there's almost £20 in there! That's from opening day last year. I know there won't be anywhere near the same amount as last year in my sealed pot, we're not saving seriously for anything this year just for money for Christmas (sorry for using that word halfway through the year) presents for DDs 1 and 2 and the 3 DGC.

Yes, jakes-mum, you said last time you were to be a great auntie for the 5th time, still brilliant though. The same month (Ocober 6th) that T & I will be Great Grandparents for the 4th time. It's a bit of a baby boom on and off SPC recently! Our Granddaughter has already told us all that it's a boy, all 3 Grandchildren have boys, I know our eldest Granddaughter is hoping for a girl when it's her next time, but as she said ...it doesn't always happen that way!

Sounds as though you're putting everything you have into the blanket too! They're a very lucky couple, just as he was with the Chinook ride. I think it's lovely to have the surprise of what sex a baby is at birth, though I understand some couples need to know expense wise etc.

Not a bad amount saved if you're not saving for anything special as you've done in the past. Nice to have a year like it though.

Another £15 added to my IOU list. I don't feel confident enough with cash yet.

I hope 323 is alright as we've not heard from her for quite a while.  🤨
