Ahh Sue, it is what it is, I have already informed DH that he and I will be having a birthday re run once all this is over! It is also our Jake's birthday on Sunday! 19!! I feel so old! Can't see that being any more thrilling, but we'll do what we can and make sure we have lots and lots of gluten free cake A £2 coin from the post office today (yes I had to go back again! had 5 more sales overnight! ) so that will be potted so as I can get upstairs. I have made the decision that we are going to eat everything in the freezers, I have meal plans . . I don't actually want to eat what i've planned but plans have been made basically I need to defrost the freezer in the kitchen and can't be bothered to lug all the food down to the freezer in the office so we'll eat it and then i'll defrost!
Hello potters, Another small amount of potting for travel savings this week as still want to prioritise clearing 0 pc credit card balances. Talking of birthdays daughter quite enjoyed hers last week. Wife has a big one coming up and is delighted that we can finally see her Mum, albeit socially distantly. I think her Mum is even more excited! Oh the things we all took for granted. Have a nice weekend and week ahead everyone - stay safe.

So had to go get the uncle a few bits today and got myself a nice bit of change and a £2 coin! Then took it over to uncles house and he had a letter sat on the side with half an address on and a first class stamp, he says it contains some gloves for his lady friend who moved as she can't get any, i'm trying to explain that there are all different types of postage now and he needs a large letter stamp, last time he posted anything you just stuck a normal stamp on and chucked it in the post box I've taken it off him to get the correct postage put on! He did give me a £2 coin to pay the extra though!
A very Good Morning Sealed Potters!
Here's hoping you had a lovely weekend. Enjoy a good week too. Still KEEP HEALTHY and don't take any risks! Do please wear masks in all public places and if on public transport - IT'S YOUR LIFE and the lives of your loved ones!!!!!! For all those Potters who are poorly or low in anyway, take very good
care of yourselves and please get well soon! Love and hugs to you all.
What an excellent idea having a re-run of your birthday later,
jakes-mum, and if you combine it with Jake's, it could be an awesome
time!! 19 so soon?!!! 😲 My word where does time go.
A good idea with all your freezer food, we've rather a lot to get through
now, but no defrosting necessary with ours, I certainly don't miss that.
Well done with the £2 coin, I'm quite envious as we've not saved any coins
for weeks! Good luck with your poor Uncle, not easy at times when they're
reliant on others. 😟
Glad to hear your DD enjoyed her birthday, Ant, and a big one to
come which hopefully will be a garden party so her Mum can come?
I don't think we can be blamed for taking life fairly much for granted with
life as it was before this evil, though looking very much like man-made virus! I
also blame the WHO very much for saying it was ok to keep China going in and out
when the sensible thing for any fool would have been to have locked it down!!!!!
😡 At least a quarter of a million (and rising) people would still have had their lives.
😢 The WHO are brilliant at many things around the world, but they really let us down with this!
Hi Lost, it seems we're all well, I sincerely hope everyone is. Good
to hear you are, excellent potting!! 😍 Take care.
Well, I'm allowed out now, though apart from going around the lanes here
with DH, I definitely won't be going further a field as it's too risky! 😟
WHATEVERTHERELAXINGOFTHERULES, folk, PLEASESTILLTAKEVERYGREATCARE!!! It's still out there and folk are still getting
very sick.
Have a LOVELY MONDAY everyone, and stay healthy!

Hi Sue avoiding cash spends so saving my change online. Every time I use my bank card I round up and pop the change in a new savings account is this allowed to be counted? It's unusual circumstances but I didn't want to assume. I have been doing shopping for neightbours and occasional coins come my way. They are sanitised but i pop straight into my sealed pot to become germ free by Christmas.... or I may empty pot into a bucket of water to clesn before I touch them and bag up. My pot is very heavy so still hope to save plenty.
I have had to open my pot! Due to health conditions, I'm hardly leaving the house but needed some cash to pay a tradesman - and didn't want to go out to the cash point. I had £115.10 in my pot so have transferred that amount to my online savings instead.
I've also just worked out how much I've added to my online savings since this challenge started - £1,331.28 so far! This is way over my target amount so I'm pleased. I hope to carry on adding to it. It hasn't all been savings I've made though, as I had an increase in income so I'm saving most of that now
That’s some great potting/saving twigletcaz. Sorry to hear that you have health issues. You’re doing the right thing by staying in. Just another small travel saving potted for me this week. Not going to be declaring a massive amount n October as I’m prioritising other debt cleardown but anything is better than nothing. Have a good and safe weekend everyone

Hiya Hicksy, lovely to see you. Yes, of course it'll be allowed, after all, it's a difficult year so - why not!!
I'm going to be cleaning mine in soap and water and then sanatizing them all later in the year, for now I'm keeping my IOU list going just in case there's a second spike of the virus. It's good to hear your pot's so heavy.
There's ONLY just under 5 months to go!!!!
Not to worry, twigletcaz, all I can say is thank goodness you'd been saving to help you through this!! That's some excellent saving you've been doing by the way, very well done indeed!!!! I'm hoping you can recover from your health problems, though realise you could well be shielding from a more long-term illness. Either way, take very good care of yourself.

No matter what you do with your savings after October, Ant, please remember you can still declare it ALL as, whatever you do with it, you've still saved that cash!!
£20 addeed to my IOU list today!!!!
WHATEVERTHERELAXINGOFTHERULES, folk, PLEASESTILLTAKEVERYGREATCARE!!! It's still out there and even the numbers of deaths are coming down, folk are still getting
very sick every day!
Have a SUPER WEEKEND everyone, and stay healthy!

Potted £1.70. My son is enjoying being back at school however strange it may be. They have rules in place that we have all been told about regarding hand washing, room and handle cleaning, distancing when outside etc. He does keep getting told off for not staying in his seat and when I collected him on Friday the teacher had a chat with me because he had given the dinner lady some backchat when she asked him to distance; I was mortified. We had some very strong words last night and a discussion about how the dinner lady must have felt etc, he’ll be getting a firm reminder on Monday morning. I know he’s only 7 but he’s so good when we are out walking. He is the youngest in the class as he’s gone into a mixed key worker class of year 2, 3 and 4 but that’s no excuse for cheeky behaviour towards adults. On the positive side I am enjoying hot drinks and peace and quiet in the house for 5.5 hours 😁. I’m certainly more productive in my work.
