NSD No 6
I found out last night that my sister in law is to have surgery on the brain tumour early next week. I have every confidence that all will be well but I've been distracted today and in all honesty I've done nothing at all. Himself made lunch for me and dinner is already cooked. Back to normal tomorrow.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Toni'sfriend hope the surgery goes well, sending positive vibes.
aimeemum where can I find these chocolate toasting waffles!? They sound delish!
Today I had a lie in - didn't wake up properly until 9am which is practically unheard of for me. Think the stress of the week just caught up with me, but I'm super grateful for being able to sleep so long as I feel pretty refreshed today.
Met up with friends this morning and went for a walk and then lunch, was pre-planned so I budgeted for it. We all have such different things going on but it's always good to catch up and have a natter. Went to look for a 2020 diary but they didn't have the one I wanted so may have to look online (I have a thing about diaries and always want a nice pretty one rather than the free one I could get from work. Not very MSE of me!).
Tomorrow should be a NSD, will be up super early to go horse riding, many many layers required! Then off to RDA to volunteer and do some training. Won't be home until late afternoon, and I'm sure I'll be cold, wet, smelly and miserable! :rotfl:
Decluttered lots of old takeaway boxes, I kept them for freezing food but end up using ice cream tubs as they're bigger so decided to get rid of them all today, into the recycling they went.
Also had to buy a new aquarium filter, mine has been on the blink for ages and it's causing problems in the aquarium now so time to bite the bullet and pay out for one, found a decent one online for £13.0 -
Slap on the wrist for me, very poor checking in! But Thursday and today definitely spending days. Friday I'm having as NSD 5/15 as all I bought was diesel as I drive through the "cheaper diesel the local village town".
Otherwise very poor object removal as I've been working a lot- tomorrow I will try and boost the total, need to have a tidy up so bound to find stuff surplus to requirements.
As always grateful for my parents and their never ending child minding support, friends who are about to cook me dinner and cuddles from DD when she's not seen me for a day. More fireworks coming up this evening, so also very glad none of my animals are particularly bothered unlike so many others. I wish fireworks were only sold for organised displays, it's the random ones being set off all over the place that cause problems.0 -

#25 signing in, sorry I missed yesterday
Budget is still okay and will hopefully make it to the end of the month (and not just payday!) with what I have left, BUT I have not had a NSD since Wednesday due to little annoying things like running out of milk last night so having to get some today. SO I am still only on 3/15.
Using up toiletries etc is still going alright and I doubt very much I'll need to get anything before the end of the month.
Walked to and from work today and yesterday so getting my fresh air, my steps in, and reducing my carbon footprint. However I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do that tomorrow if it's raining, because I am definitely coming down with something
I suppose the good thing about that is I won't be spending any money on going out or anything because I won't be in the mood!
Yesterday when walking home from work I saw a lady who was clearly lost, so I went over an reached out and asked if she was okay. Turned out she was Spanish, was looking for a street where her friend lived but had got onto the wrong train and ended up in the wrong part of town. So I wrote her some instruction on how to get to the street she needed, and showed her how to download and use the national rail app. Hopefully she made it okay!
Grateful for - good friends who cooked dinner yesterday; that I managed to make it through the working day today, despite feeling unwell; a nice flat to come home to so I can sloth about this eveningSave £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)

Hi everyone
I actually went shopping yesterday and bought everything in one foul swoop!. Took a few hours though but at least I followed my shopping list. Well nearly anyway, I forgot one thing but I can do without it for a few days.
Been busy the last couple of days with grandchildren sitting and suchlike, so I haven't been in too much, but that's how I like it.
Gratitudes
1 Having grandchildren who want to be with me!!!
2 Having had a busy couple of days - better than sitting in!
3 Knitting, sewing and crafty things to do.
See you all Monday probably as out for the day tomorrow - no spending involved even better!

I meant to reply to an earlier post of yours to say the coat with broken zip can be sent to the charity shop for ragging rather than going into landfill. Just let them know when you drop it off.facethemusic wrote: »Slap on the wrist for me, very poor checking in! But Thursday and today definitely spending days. I agree about the fireworks, they are going off here right now and is about 3 weeks of it now. Why can't people just be sensible? I really don't understand the obsession with them.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I did find a nice bathrobe for ds in Primarni so it hasn't been a nsd for me today - however, I did only buy items that I had planned to (Christmas presents for my kids that are on list - jumper for dd and a game for ds). I think I'm just about done as far as my budget can manage - I have 2 more things planned - one for each child. Home made goodies are done and packaging/decorating materials are ready to go so I may get to Christmas without going bankrupt :TNot giving up

Got out for run this morning as planned, was cold but really nice. It wasn't really too cold here the rest of the day.
Went into our two local towns today and bought a few things. I got a candle lighter on ebay as I am sick of my rubbish Cooks Matches (they used to be good but not anymore), it arrived today so I got some lighter fluid for it, also got scourers, diet drinks for the kids (they only have these on Friday and Saturdays), a few items in the charity shops including some books for DD for her birthday, two boxes of half price Green & Blacks chocolates for the kids for Christmas.
Lots of washing done today, I stripped the beds yesterday so had that to wash and dry, tried it on the line but there was no wind really, the rest that could go in the dryer unfortunately did.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
