    Morning Turtles!

Made me smile and it is advice I need to take :)

  • I was a bit rubbish today. I spent money, had a Coffee Ner0 coffee, broke my habit by not walking for 30 minutes, ignored a lady begging, did not declutter. Need I go on??

On the plus side I set up a standing order for a savings pot to pay for my holidays to go out as soon as money goes into my account. And there is always tomorrow to do better :(

    Grateful for:
L1dl £10 off $0 voucher. Got 2 vouchers. Will plan my spend.
Invention of an oral spray iron. Expensive but no tummy troubles so will be worth it.
    A helpful neighbour

Still on NSD no 5 but just a small spend of £1.29 on some tins of mixed beans. I can't always get them so thought I'd buy them cheap whilst I could.

Spent last night looking after the two little girls next door at short notice due to a family crisis and no family members being available. I love small children. They are so funny.

Had a bit of a walk as I had to go to the Health Centre to collect repeat prescription. Will have to go collect it from chemist tomorrow.

Not doing well with the rest of the challenge for the last few days. Really must try harder.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Interesting about Fish Friends (and I do like the shortened name :) ). The sugariness of existing throat sweets is a concern for me too.

Another declutter item: kitchen equipment thats so illfitting to my current cookware, I've actually stored it in the airing cupboard :o The sunk cost fallacy got me good there. Time to let go. 6/60.

Outings! Went to an NT property today, to see a little exhibition and walk through the orchard, it was lovely, though very cold.

I am greatful for being able to explore new things locally at the drop of a hat; for my central heating; for my new fridge freezer that actually *works*. It's a day when the comforts of home are very important!

Today I am grateful for the crisp weather doing me the world of good, for my new BFF - Fish friends, for being able to help out my neighbour, for dd opting to stay on for her after school club, for doing a liddle shop yest and therefore not having to do ot today, for getting two free papers with the liddle voucher in, for all the people who've uploaded videos onto utube so that the rest of us can watch them for free (still going with WSM, up to 2007, still got Mariusz P in all his glory!), for my needlefelting parcel arriving so I could put hair on the naked robins.

Karma - I looked at the ingredients of the fish friends, and the first one is ...sugar. 88.57% sugar. But each lozenge thingy weighs in around 1.25g, so nowhere near as bad as l0ck3ts with 91.6% sugar and weighing 4.1g each.

    Evening all,

Spendy day today. I bought some exzcema cream online as mine was close to running out. I had to renew my DBS for my voluntary role at RDA so had to pay for that as well. Met up with a friend after work (pre-planned) and we had a drink so spent money there as well. Not going to lie, I've had a really stressful week at work and have bought a bottle of wine on my way home. Not much of a drinker normally but just want to unwind. It'll last me all weekend anyway as I drink it so slowly! Have a nice weekend planned so should be a good chance to relax.

Said no to one Christmas party - for some reason my work has planned two and I don't understand why and just couldn't be bothered to pay out twice.

Today I'm grateful for catching up with friends, for wine and for the weekend!

Bought shopping for mum, paid the balance due on our 3 day 'Twixmas' break, put my paint clothes on and went out to the shed - nearly all sorted and used stuff in the cupboards to clean most of the yard flags. I have brought my painting stuff (brushes, tray, roller etc) back with me as they are at convention this weekend so I might be able to paint the little space between my room, the bathroom and the top of the stairs - grubby fingers and paint worn off . I say might as I already have high expectations about all the areas of the house I can sort out if they are not here.

Today I am grateful for good weather (cold but I had a sweatshirt in the painting clothes - now binned as it was more paint than cloth and seriously scratchy), for getting the shed and yard frogs done when I wasn't really up to it (the bit I left was a few things on the floor as I just couldn't bend down again) and for large print books - have been struggling with darker nights and poor lighting at mum's.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
