  • Tuesday wasn't a NSD- deposit for a trip for DD, school photos paid for and a small top up shop- at least they were all on the same day and today no pennies were spent so sitting at 4/15 which I'm quite pleased with.
Gratitudes today, a great friend who lets me borrow one of her horses, a lovely long ride with her today, stunning countryside to remind me I live in a beautiful place, the rain stayed off! So I got my fresh air quota in for the day and then some.
Also 4 more things out of the house, so that's 10/60 I think (could be more- I must start a list!)

    Still 1/15 NSDs

    Middle aged gratitudes:
My food flask, comfortable footwear, a £10 tax refund cheque.

    This made me chuckle.

sashanut - I can't believe it is a year since you were ill on holiday. Hope you have a better time this time.

Sent kids to school with money for poppy appeal, we put the money in but don't actually get the poppies, DD has a bracelet she got in a previous year which she wears and DS has a keyring on his locker key.

Cycled yesterday in the rain, it was very cold and like ice pellets on my face - the sign of things to come.

Work today - say no more.

I don't even have a hand blender but I am thinking a food processor would be good to treat myself to at Christmas

These things are often in the c/s around by me, the big ones that do electricals (Air Ambulance/BHF/RSPCA) , or the ones that do furniture tend to have the most. It is one of those things you either use nearly every day, or get stuck in a cupboard forever - old style glass jug coffee percolators, slow cookers, bread machines, toastie makers, and George Formby grills as well, all easily under a tenner.

Today will be NSD4, off to volunteer this afternoon (good deed of the day!) supper is simple and kid requested, so sausage rolls, wedges, and beans. Not haute cuisine, but you can't eat flower salads everyday.

    #20 checking in

Budget - Payday today and budget stuck to :D

NSDs - 3/15. Tomorrow should be another too :D Today however is a spendy day - groceries, fuel and payments to debts all done though, and ordered eldest some new school shoes.

Lunch to work - Hubby doesn't take a pack-up to training (he goes to lunch with his course-mates but he always tries to keep it below £5 by buying a meal deal)- he will also be able to claim the cost of the lunch back as expenses so not a problem long term.

Items removed - I was at 5/60, but today I'm going up into my bedroom to declutter/re-arrange so I'm hoping to raise that number by tomorrow.

Use up - I don't keep a stash, but I am using a lot of cleaning products that have been at the back of the cupboard so......

Outings - 1/2 - next one planned for the 17/11.

Daily fresh air - Going to head out early for school pick up again as that seems to work well.

Gratitudes - 2 days worth - My loft for allowing me to declutter as much as I have (although I'm not looking forward to going through the loft in the future!), my Tesco delivery man for bringing lots of yummy things, my DAB radio as it's now got Christmas radio stations, my camcorder for allowing us to record such precious memories (we found a lot of old home videos and the kids have really enjoyed watching them), my calendar for keeping me organised, my steam cleaner for making defrosting my freezer so much easier! :D

New habits - Defintiely helping me to keep in routine and to come on here with updates....enjoying my November so far! :T

  • Apologies for not checking in.
I was fully intending to but, then therapy was awful yesterday. I ended up spending at subway and also Tesco. Today won't be an NSD either as seeing a friend.

    Hello,

November is going great so far. Have enough money left, meals planned, etc. Not sure where I stand with NSDs, think it's only 3, had some bigger spends like xmas panto tickets, a race sign up, etc. Some unpredicted things like scouts/guides as DS and DD finally got spaces in rainbows and cubs that needed paid for etc. But still got savings and only £265 debt left to pay :j:j. Also booked a flight to Germany to see my parents in February. Will be there for my birthday and enjoy a husband and child free weekend :D:p

Off to the gym soon and then my Thai butternut squash soup for lunch

Decluttered a cook book and some craft stuff. Will do some ore of that while DH is out tonight.

That's all for now, have a nice day

So I don't forget - decluttered 3 x items into the donate bag, half a pack of nappies that were under my bed (my youngest is 6....what the?!) into the bin and I've sorted out 6 things to sell. So now I'm up to 9/60 with another 6 going soon, hopefully adding some pennies into my savings! :D
