NSD 2/15
Gratitudes: the man from agency calling this morning, nap on couch, logs of B'day greetings from friends yesterday
Habits - pay attention to detail - have a good tidy of house now, incl a couple of old piles, short brush and walk w dog before going swimming.
Have not done meditation, but did listen to podcast in car instead of blaring radio - and have been on phone but ... b'day greetings, so not sloppy swiping.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Karmacat - How was Tutankamun exhibit? I fancy that.
Entry systems are appalling, it has to be said, but staff are very cheery and already know about some of the glitches in the tickets that apparently crop up (we paid for audio guides, but they weren't on our tickets, and when we said that, the staff just gave them to us, no proof needed).
The artefacts are spectacular, really spectacular. The gold everything, and the wooden shields come particularly to mind. The editing and presentation of the information is some of the best I've ever seen too. I don't know if they still have tickets, or what the situation is on the day: we bought ours back in February ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Today I am grateful for a solid 10 hours of sleep, for my counsellor, for getting some walking done, for dealing with two big frog emails, for time with dd, for watching the 2005 WSM heats and final, for still getting a small handful of tasty rasps off the canes, for the beautiful colours on the trees.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Dia - have you ever made your own almond milk? Soak 1 cup of almonds in water overnight. Then rinse. Then blend with 4 cups of fresh water and strain. I only have a hand blender and it works well enough for me. A processor would be even better.
Add inacouple of dates if you want the sweetness.

Got ready slowly, went shopping (for mum), taxi to mum's, put the bins out, parcelled up the swing garden seat - absolutely exhausting. It has a cover but not one made specifically for it. put the cushion, umbrella and a couple of rolls of garden stuff on the seat, used old washing line to tie one end of the sunshade to the top of the frame, put the cover over, tied washing line in a diagonal pattern through the cover in the midpoints of each side then pulled it in tightly, used the rest of the line to tie the cover to the feet in each corner (will weight with 'stones' on the inside of the cover on Friday.
Lots of space in the shed (still needs tidying). Fan out to the shed until next summer, added soil to the pots outside the back door (mum has undone all the planting I did but didn't add extra soil. I have asked her not to pull plants up - last year she pulled plants which had 'died' out of the chimney pots and other containers 3 times only to have them flower again on the throw pile.
Took out some weeds that mum had collected and looked in a couple of cupboards (planning my next move). Came home and did my bins (also put down which bin is being collected for the next few weeeks).
The firemen have been round to put out either an out of control (and very badly placed) bonfire or a car that had set on fire, on the little private car park next to the big car park.
Today I am grateful for reasonable weather (grey but not raininng, very comfortable when working), for the new planting on the town hall square (looked very bare at weekend as the old plants had been stripped out) and for plans for tomorrow (not exciting but I know what I should be doing if my body will co-operate).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Good evening...
Productive day - though another spend day. Well stocked up, and plan to do a mammoth batch meal session one day this week... Should have enough for about 14 meals to freeze.
Actually got to the gym today after a 3 week absence and really enjoyed it. Clocked about 6000 steps, though I did a good hour of exercise.
Today I am grateful for:
1. The gym and all the equipment
2. The choice and variety of foods we have access to
3. My cosy little apartment
Other than the gym tomorrow and a walk if the weather is ok - I'm planning on a home day so should bag a NSD!!!
