Greent - can dh also claim the delay repay? It's always worth a try...
Today I am grateful for Fisherman's friends, for dd managing a day at school after 3 days off, for dh prepping tea, for having a tax rebate + delay repay cheques to pay in, for a peaceful evening.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
#25 checking in.
Budget is still going okay, no big changes or worries.
NSD - currently on 3/15. Was hoping today would be number 4 but delayed trains and atrocious weather meant either forking out for a snack and a drink whilst waiting, or going an additional 2 hours before eating and I couldn't cope with that wait. At least it wasn't for some tat I didn't need.
Grateful for: my sisters who are so generous with their time and their homes; my housemate for saving me her left overs from dinner so I got home to a warm, tasty meal; my warm, comfy bed.
And thanks lcc86 I will try that one evening this week!Save £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)

Hey all. Late joiner in this group but determined to get better at money management and pay down my debts.
Today I spent 10.15 in Lidl which for me, is amazing as I’m usually going to marks and Spencer’s like the Queen of Sheba I must think I am.. anyway was quite pleased with the stuff I got and will go back.
Walked the dog in the belting rain this morning. Soaked to the knickers but dog was walked and exercise was had.
Also had a look at my finances. Moved a credit card to a 0% one. Bit sobering seeing how much I owe . Depressing.
Sorted some shoes/boots for charity shop.:heart2:I have a child with autism.:heart2:0 -

Budget - Sticking to budget - nothing spent today (planned anyway)
NSDs - 4/15. - Today *should* be a NSD and so should tomorrow and Sunday as hubby is at work and he has the car which means the boys and I are housebound lol.
Lunch to work - Made hubby a ham salad wrap to take to work. He's not feeling well at all bless him so I'm hoping that something a little but more 'healthy' will help him.
Items removed - 10/60, Eldest's new coat arrived so his old one has gone straight in the bin (the zip is completely kaput so can't be mended)
Outings - 1/2 - next one planned for the 17/11.
Daily fresh air - Again, heading out early to the bus....even 10 minutes is a nice saunter up to see the different colours in the woods.
Gratitudes - My wonderful husband for working so hard and being so brilliantly helpful when I ask. The Caramel Latte sachets I ordered as they are my 'treat' in an afternoon. Living in such a lovely place - so much green and peace and quiet I know I'm lucky.
New habits - 8 days into November and I've not missed a day of routines and I'm making progress on the November 'to do' list I made myself. Having this accountability is brilliant!Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

I'm all YES-vember this month.
Budget:
I am being super strict - am trying to implement a food only mode between now and Christmas - in order to pay for a few planned social activities, Christmas tickets and still be replenishing my depleted EF. So yes I'm on budget - well under, but the reverb from my car blowing a 'budget gasket' of £177 last week took its toll.
Pay to Debts/Savings first
DMP paid, not savings. Am hoping to pay £20 towards a personal debt after next Friday.
4/15 NSD'S so doing well on this one.
No coffee shops this week and no risk activity this weekend.
Lunch to Work : Always.
Remove 60 Items - Not started this one, as was busy last weekend.
I have 2 shelves that used th be the boys school shelves - mostly they have not been touched for 5 years so its time ...
Use up Toiletries and Condiments:
I'm working on a crumbly old soap at the moment, thinned some conditioner w water so it now comes out of bottle, and will be checking 3 for 2 deals at tesc0 later.
Daily Fresh Air -club run Wednesday, river run tomorrow morning and a walk w dog tonight. Not much but busy week.
Donate £5 - Cheekily I will go to a fun fundraiser tomorrow night, so doesn't really !!!! but ... will set up contributions to Lungfoundation or Epilepsy Society later in month, as these are specialist societies that affect peoples long time health and quality of life.
Daily Gratitude - for independent students(even when they're a pain), new 2. hand bookshop in town and for not having had any more car trouble.
New Habits -
1)get off computer and phone - went straight to bed last night and slept 8 hours - great.
2) pay attention to detail - doing lots of planning for work, shopping list and will do a bit of a tidy and mini clean before relaxing tonight, actually will try to do some drawing tonight.

Morning Turtles!
I have spent today, but it is all cough and cold medication suitable for a 12 yr old - it is mostly all 16+ now, but still found one stupidly expensive brand that is still for smalls - antiseptic throat sweets, and normal cough sweets the kids are eating like maniacs, so, as I stood in the plague aisle looking for help, I saw (serendipity Apple?) Fisherman's Friends, which turn out to be vegan (who knew?). So I am going to offer them to the kids, and the preverts will probably love them (except one, who will end up rubbing his tongue on the carpet while shouting 'make it stop! make it stop!). So I have spent, so decided to compound it by buying the next 2 weeks worth of lunchbox pasties and it is all in the freezer. I no longer have to think about it.
Donated to foodbank for own clothes day at primary school.
Have spent on the local independent cinema as well, it is 10 this month, so a wide range of films are on at £2 each, so I am off to see BlackFish and 3 Billboards next weekend. That can be one of my planned outings. I am going alone (shhh!) like a proper grown up type person.
Menu plan for the next week looks good. Will not need to buy anything at all until Monday at the earliest.
Off to clean my house - it is cheap and keeps me out of trouble.
Weather forecast -2 tonight, and that was relatively warm on the weather map compared to other places - so warm knickers at the ready turtles!

Oh yes, apple - he put in the claim online whilst he was at the station - hopefully 100% refund will be coming our way... fingers crossed!

Avoid every chain coffee shop etc. Support local shops and traders.- nothing today.
Remove 60 items from your house - 3 more so far today - all donated to school for Xmas fair eta - another 8 this afternoon so 162/60
Use up your toiletries and household cleaners before buying any more. - Bought deodorant today so I have a spare ready. Also bought dry s'poo - I've ran out and like to have some in just in case and my preferred one was on offer at Sains. Also bought a bottle of toilet bleach - had an expiring voucher for it and no doubt it will be needed before month end.
Go on 2 outings - 1 done so far
Donate £5 or time to charity - lots of 'things' donated to various places. Money donated to poppy appeal and Gloucester Cathedral. Have some things ready to send with DS2 to school for food bank as they are running a collection at the end of this month
Come on here every day and post 3 things you are grateful for. - So far..... a very helpful assistant in Tesc0, using expiring CC reward vouchers on shopping, having some n3ctar vouchers for things I actually buy, getting 4 things for free via a shopping app (3 we will use, 1 will be donated to foodbank)
Start 1 or 2 new habits this month, ones that are simple and will make you feel better - fewer cups of tea and min 4 f&v per day - tea ok today. F&V - lunch will give me 3. Am sure dinner is likely to be another 2 or 3, so should be fine.

I, too, have been stocking upon Fish friends, f0xh0les, as I'm getting through the existing supplies at a rate of knots. They are also gluten-free, thankfully, as they are my fave throat meds when I have to go to work. And they contain much less sugar that normal throat 'sweets' - if I consume sugar, I find that I immediately get more snotty and feel much iller. It's not a good look...
Also bought 0lbas 0il as the stocks brought from parental houses when we cleared them have run out. Yikes. It smells less potent than the used-up oil. There's nowt so 0lbassy as a 6+ year-old bottle of the stuff!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
