Nope, not seen that. And I've seen posts that were made between that date and yesterday, which means it can't be a copy from then (wants to insert thinking emoji, but there seems to be a distinct lack of emojis available now and this isn't one we have

At least I got into preferences & notifications and managed to turn OFF getting an email for EVERY post that anyone makes to any thread that I have ever posted onThere are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Although there was a setting to get a notification email every time a thread was updated, with the old forum I had it set to get one email when a thread was added to and no more until I logged on again. Have you noticed a setting like this?At least I got into preferences & notifications and managed to turn OFF getting an email for EVERY post that anyone makes to any thread that I have ever posted on

fifeken - no nothing like that. it's either on or off for email and/or pop-up notifications. I've turned most email ones off, and left all pop-ups (which just seem to increase the count on the top bar) on for now.... I'll work on turning off those I'm not interested in over the course of time as I get used to the strange new home. (several hours in, and initial feeling is still that it's not as nice as the last one which I ran in the 'historic' mode)

It will eventually take you to the first unread post but it takes a bit of time for it to get all the cookies properly updated, since those are where the last viewed data will be held. Because this is a completely new system, as far as it knows the first post in any thread is the first one you haven't read so that's to where it will jump.cw18 said:it takes me to the start of the thread, which I'm not interested in. I want to see the latest posts, and that seems to mean scrolling to the bottom of the screen and then clicking on the final page number (which may not include all the new posts since I last visited. Is this really the way it's going to work from here onwards??
If you go up to the top right and click on the profile button, the dropdown includes entries to "Mark All Viewed" and "Mark category Viewed". The former will mark all of what we used to call Boards" as read whilst the latter will just mark the current one you're on as read. Doing that a few times and refreshing the pages should get it all caught up eventually - it has for me.

in my past MSE life I subscribed to JUST 1 THREAD - FREE CINEMA TICKETS
Because of the very often few minutes in which these were available I had enabled an Email Notification so that I became aware of an update to the thread ASAP, hopefully so that I could get some before they had all been taken (presuming my local cinemas were participating of course)
The new "ALL OR NOTHING" is a DISASTER !!There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Just letting people know that BOOKMARKS is the "same" as "Thread subscription"
Private Messaging - Top Right Corner - Click on INBOX
Looks like 5 members is MAXIMUM you can PM at a time ...
BUT , you can now have a CONVERSATION with members and ADD (an unlimited? number of) them - whatever/however that works.? (Followed by  EMOJI - if I could post it)
